what end game - there is no offical 'end'
it continues to ever grow in a developing story line smile

well for zylert package its the shadow lord, for chains of promythia i have no clue...but yeah its a continuing on story line, it'll never end sense its a mmorpg sweatdrop

Bryann what end game - there is no offical 'end' it continues to ever grow in a developing story line smile
rank 5 is the end for the origional
rank 10 is the end for rise of the zilart (which comes with the game in the US and europe)
i dunno where and when promathia ends, i dont think anyones that far. i actually dont think that they raised the ranks...

intresting....new question!what hapend if you had unlimited gold but! you could never go passed rank 5....what would you pic the gold or being able to go past rank 5?

While in a sense there is no 'end game' the 'end game' refers to the time at which your job is leveled to 70+ and you can participate in HNM battles, God HNM fights, higher level missions, and other activities requiring such level.
For example, someone saying "I want to experience the end game of FFXI" - they mean they want to participate in things that being a high level offers, which is the metaphorical end game of ffxi.
The missions/story line will continue to grow as expansions are released.

The end is only when you get 75 for each job "some have special movies" and get married i currently am to Tamissa on Garuda server both of us primary whm's lol and when you see the ending to all rank 10's from each city Bastok Sandoria Windhurst and Jeuno it is very hard to do all of them so i dont know anyone who has yet i have heard of ppl but know none who have done it all. there is a ff11 site that has all the game video's on it i forgot the link but ill keep looking for it and post it when i can its tight u can watch them all in one siting

TiggyChan i would say how to beat the shadow lord buuuuuuuuut i have yet to get there myself, im only a rank 4 sweatdrop Shadowlord is a boss pre-Zilart expansion, but he's not the last boss by far. That's like saying you can beat "end game" (if there really is such a thing, because the game never really...ends O_o) at level 55-60. I'm assuming every expansion has a final boss, like Zilart has .
But you might be considered a person beating the game when you: get rank 10 in all nations, beat ZMs, beat CoPs, do all quests, kill all gods including Kirin, and get all AF2/relic (beat all dynamises).
That still leaves out HNMs and other things, though. Urgh.

I think the game ends when o_O;; You get Rnk10 for ALL the Nations; then you will know the main storyline, and a bit of background on the other nations. Complete each quest; there you will learn more about each nation's citizens and secrets. Once you've finished the Zilart Missions, do the Promathia missions, or whatever new missions you can do with the Chains of Promathia expansion pack. o_O; Therefore by completing all, you have reached teh end of the current FFXI~ (Current I mean what you can finish and do now. biggrin )
