~To my journal, Shichi~

Why does the world hate Toshiro? Why does it seem that fate is out to get him rather than let him sit back and enjoy life? I'm so upset right now, it is really hard to think straight. I might have even done something which I may regret in the future because of my inability to think properly right now.

I need to calm down, so I am going to try to recall to the best of my abilities what just happened. I don't know exactly what is going on, but it seems Daikenkai is fully aware. However, he is less than cooperative to even utter a breath about the situation. I have a hunch as to what is going on though.

I am not even making any sense, or going in the right order for that matter too. This all started, coincidently, with Fre and myself. We were discussing a rather serious matter, which was allowing Fre to curse the boys. Now, if she was an ordinary demon, this might have been a horrible ordeal, but Fre's domain is more towards life. Usually her curses are saved for the suicide-prone and sends them to hell to get a taste of the flames, then spits them back up, uncertain as to what had happened, but leaving them still with their initial desires of death. That being said, it is basically a life insurance of the most unusual variety. Her curses can last from 50 years at the least to centuries in length. She promised to go light on them, but even with all the years I have known Fre, it is still difficult to decide whether to allow your children to be cursed. Curses, no matter how good the intent, usually end up going wrong at some point. No decision was made at that point.

Let's see here, the next thing that happened took place in the kitchen. I was getting ready for work and I had just fed those obnoxious Kitsusagi of Daikenkai's when I spotted Toshiro. He was cooking a vegetable omelet. There are several things wrong with this, and I'd like to point them out. One, Toshiro doesn't really know how to cook. Two, Toshiro avoids vegetables at all costs, so why would he be cooking and eating them? Three, Toshiro was silent the whole time. I even spoke to him and he didn't respond. I knew something was wrong. I immediately went to check on the babies, who were safe at the moment, but then I checked on Daikenkai and he was a mess. He might be strong-willed, but he is not the healthiest of all people. I don't know what happened exactly, but he looked sleep deprived. I decided to go back and ask Toshiro if he knew what was up, but he was gone. I was extremely concerned at this point and ended up calling out sick from work.

I had to move Daikenkai out of the bedroom, so I relocated him to the Nursery. He's such a light weight man, but he gains at least 50 pounds whenever I have to try to move him against his will someplace. After that, I waited in their bedroom for Toshiro to return. When he got back, he obviously had been up to something, for he had some new, but rather nasty looking blades. Not something you could buy from your average convenience store. He hid them, then he lay himself on the bed while laughing AND crying at the same time. I eventually came out of hiding and confronted him, but the poor boy was making no sense at all. He said "I killed them all" and "It's just a dream, isn't it?" He continued on, and I learned that apparently some sort of shadows are doing this to him and forcing him to kill people again. He wasn't certain if they were shadow demons or not, but for some reason I doubt they are. Even though I suspect this is not Toshiro's fault, I let him know I could not trust him as readily anymore.

It was then I did the least thought out thing I could have done. I booted Daikenkai from the nursery and I summoned Fre. I allow her to curse the twins, since from what Toshiro told me, he kills without control of his body. However, during the middle of the cursing, I felt my heart crumble. The boys were scared, and I couldn't do anything to comfort them. Apparently their cries were enough to snap Toshiro out of his own trance. Fre came and left quickly, since she is no longer able to see Toshiro due to previous events. Toshiro came in when told to, and I let him know the whole situation was a consequence of his prior activities. I somewhat regret telling him that now.

Generally, I regret my decision overall. However, I will try to make the best of this I can. I won't inform anybody else in our little "family" what the new marks on the infants' backs mean. All I can hope is that the curse is never triggered. My mind is still unsettled, but writing to you, Shichi, has helped ease it a bit.

Bed Time Story: Give a Dog a Bone

Why were infants so difficult? Certainly, Daikenkai shouldn't have been complaining since the twins were now sleeping full "evenings", but mentally he still was.

Damn that Sadoko he bitterly thought as he went to the nursery. She had told him that whenever he had to put the boys to sleep, he needed to read a bedtime story to them. A BEDTIME STORY for goodness sake! Currently he had one infant hoisted over his shoulder and he was making his way to the nursery, somewhat grumbling the whole way. Why did Sadoko have to read those stupid parenting magazines?!

Ooh! A bed time story. Toshiro was eager to hear what sort of things Daikenkai would read, but wait! Did they even have any books? Placing a finger to his lips, Toshiro pondered such as he followed behind Daikenkai into the nursery. Seeing the little one over the shoulder he smiled and waved. "Hi Damien!~ You gunna be good and listen to a story? You like stories? Yeah?~ I think you dooo~~"

Oh, Damien remembered that person! Smiling and showing a couple of his relatively new teeth off, he attempted to grab for the familiar person with his chubby fingers. Too bad Daddy was too far away.

Daikenkai snorted at Toshiro's baby-speak. "I take it yer goin' t'be part of the audience, yes?" he asked in a mildly annoyed tone. It wasn't Toshiro's fault, but for the slender man, it seemed almost as if his friend was egging him on. He entered the nursery and soon enough set Damien into his crib.

It still seemed as if there were no story books, and it didn't even look like Daikenkai was going to search for one. Sadoko had said to tell the babies a bed time story. She didn't say it had to be in a book. Loopholes. You had to love them.

The silvery haired baby did not seem all that content with the idea of going to bed. In fact, he was now quite awake. His brown eyes rolled around, looking to find the Daddy person again.

"I like stories. Besides, my Dad used to tell me stories when we didn't have a TV to tell them to me before I went to bed" Following along Toshiro eventually stopped at the crib and glanced down at his chubby boy. "You're gunna like stories too. I can tell" With a smile he reached his hand down to lightly tickle the boy's stomach. The boy would pause to look towards the door. "Is Sadoko almost done feeding Ari so he can hear the story too?"

Sitting himself in the rocking chair in the corner, his shoulders rolled for a lazy shrug. "Th' story ain't goin' t'be anythin' special, so missin' the beginning wouldn't be a shame." However, since Toshiro was concerned, he sat and waited, as if giving Toshiro a moment to go and snag the infant down in the kitchen.

The Daddy person certainly mades lots of sounds out of his mouth! Maybe if he tried really hard, he could make some sort of neato sounds too.

"Ffffffpleeeeee!!!!" the infant squealed and his hands flailed a bit to reach the much bigger hand.

"Well.. don't start yet..." Taking his hand back the boy ran back down to Sadoko and after a few minutes he was returning with Ari carefully in his arms. "Ok! Now everybody is here" Biting his lip he went over to the crib and slowly set Ari down.

As soon as he was released from the feather head man he began kicking and fidgeting about. Mommy person seemed fussy if he did such while he was eating or getting his back patted. "beeeee!" Was it time for bed? HE wasn't sleepy yet. Making a sour face he kicked his legs out at the same time and demanded to be picked up again. It wasn't time for being in bed! "Egaah!"

While Toshiro was gone, Daikenkai mentally debated as to what the hell sort of story he could tell. As he had mentioned before, it wasn't going to be anything exciting, or at least, exciting for the boys.

"So... 'once upon a time,' there was a dog." Oh yes, he could already feel his brain grow three times dumber.

So far, there was nothing interesting going on. And now Damien was determined to make fancy noises with his mouth. His lips pursed a bit, as if he was concentrating on what he was going to say next.

Instead of getting the proper result, he instead just let out another squeal, "EeeeeeEeeeeeeEeeee!!!"

Oh.. now the both of them were making noises. Perhaps he should put them together so they won't be lonely. After all Toshiro and Daikenkai slept side by side. Certain about his decision he picked up Ari and plopped him down in Damien's crib. "There"

For a moment he finally got what he wanted; to be out of his bed. But, what was this? Out of bed and into another one? What the heck, feather head man?! Ari's face twisted seeming to reflect confusion. Pressing his lips together he exhaled grumpily making a buzz of spittle.

Despite the fact he really wasn't trying, the nanny paused and quirked a brow. Only when Toshiro seemed to be done with moving the babies into one crib (which, the logic failed him at the moment), he asked "...are you quite done?"

It seemed Damien had a very similar mindset to his younger brother at that moment. He hadn't wanted to be more crowded. He crinkled up his little nose and made a noise of disapproval: "Dah!"

Oh now they both looked unhappy. "No, like this" Taking the corners of his mouth with his fingers he forced a large smile on his face. "Eeee!" Though he heard Daikenkai he of course was more interested with the babies. Taking his hand away he pressed a finger to his "Ok, now shhhhh. Dai is gunna tell a story... you don't know how special that is!" He chuckled softly and smiled to the children again hoping to get them to do the same.

Ari's face grew red as his frustration grew. Why didn't feather head pick him up again? His little arms and legs flailed about. "NAAAAA!" Stop smiling, it wasn't happy time it was grumpy time. If he kept this up he'd make a poop just to have the feather head smell its bad smell.

The paler haired baby's legs kicked a couple times as if he was trying to imitate a frog, but that was far from the intent. Now his brother was being noisy, and his noise wasn't very interesting at all. His little nose remained crinkled up as he hollered out a very similar noise: "BAAAAA!"

Daikenkai wasn't in the mood for this. Standing up from where he was at, he walked over to the crib and picked up Damien into his arms again. He cradled the infant in his arms, and began to somewhat bounce the growing boy as best as he could to calm him. With the voice of a stern instructor, he gave the command "Pick up Ari and go rock 'im in that rocking chair." What a great load of good that story telling rubbish was.

Sighing Toshiro picked up Ari and went over to the chair as instructed. At least rocking was kind of fun and it seemed to quiet the boys down. Finally, the story could begin.

Ah, much better. Feather head got it right. Oooh, and he was still nice and warm. Cuddling up like a good boy Ari relaxed and just listened to a heart beat for the time being. It was a rather comforting sound. So familiar.

Though his problem hadn't been the same as his brother's, his problem had indeed been fixed. Being in the dolly's arms meant he wasn't sharing his crib and getting squished. He wasn't quite ready to cuddle and snuggle, but now he looked to the dolly with attentive eyes.

Still continuing with the bouncing motion, Daikenkai resumed the story.

"So, anyways, I said there was a dog. This dog was not the biggest dog, in fact, he was quite the opposite. This dog was the smallest in his neighborhood. And this made the dog feel sad."

Despite how well Daikenkai was enunciating each word, he could still feel the brain cells dying one at a time from the absolute horrible content of the story.

"Ohh, a small doggy. Small doggies are cute but their bark can be ear piercing." Quite happy he gave a small kiss to Ari's head. "If you want a doggy, I'll let you have one, unlike my Daddy." Perhaps the only one attentive to the story, Toshiro looked to Daikenkai to continue.

Ari didn't care much for the story. He heard something about a doggy. That word had been used a few times around the house. He was pretty sure that was what one called the fuzzy slippers moving about. "dooo!" Yeah, that was right. Right? Oh well, who cared? Snuggly time. Quite comfortable he began to suck on his thumb. Yum, flavor.

Damien seemed very entranced by the story so far. Not necessarily the content, but oh this dolly was making a lot of fancy noises. Once more, the game he had started earlier was on. "Sssssssaaaaaaaaappllllll!" Wait, that wasn't right!

"This small dog was sad, because whenever it came to playing with toys, he always got the last pick. Whenever it came to playing games, the bigger dogs would push him to the side and say he couldn't play. Whenever a nice person would give him a treat, it might as well have been considered gone, for another bigger dog would take it away from him."

Daikenkai had to pause for a moment, as if he couldn't go on spewing such nonsense. He shook his head and looked to the infant's face, which still seemed quite content looking at his own face. Such was quite odd for an infant, since their attention span was similar to that of a goldfish most times.

"Awwww. I never had a sibling... I hope these two don't have problems like that..." When it came to being with the children, it seemed Toshiro couldn't think in silence. Everything he thought he had to say, was that good? Gah! was he trying too hard or was it just too hard to be a good parent? Biting his lip he looked down to Ari.

He didn't seem to mind the noises. In a way it was comforting, not so much as a steady soft beat, but comforting. When both adults stopped the child's eyes looked around to them expecting more. Unlike his brother he was silent, just sucking on his fingers for flavor.

Some of the fancy things coming out of the dolly's mouth were familiar. How, the infant couldn't really recall, but then again, he didn't have much in regards to memories at the moment. He'd try to make something similar to one of those noises though.

"G-G-G-G-G-G!" Alright, Popeye impressions would have to wait til later.

Suppose I should continue... The slender man let out a sigh.

"One day, the small dog was given the biggest bone a dog could have ever wanted. As usual, the bone was taken away by a bigger dog. This bigger dog was foolish though and attempted to eat the whole bone in one gulp. Instead of the bone going down the right way, it actually got lodged at the back of its throat and got stuck. The big dog fell over from the pain and the inability to breath well."

One could easily tell Daikenkai's mind wasn't in the mood to tell a cutesy happy story. Here he paused again, but this time it was to get the infant in his arms to stop with the motor boat sound. He gave one big bounce to the boy in his arms, which seemed to do something right.

"G-g-g-dog!"

Toshrio raised an eyebrow to Daikenkai. He hoped the dog wouldn't choke to death since death was a rather grim topic for an infant. "um..." His thoughts and sentence were cut short by a recognizable word spouted from one of the boys. "Hey, he said dog. I think he likes your story!" The boy felt a bit of a warmness around his chest and face. "Awwww" His eyes then turned to Ari hoping for something similar.

Ari had other things on the brain. Mmm noise and flavor. These things were nice. "Beh..." His fingers only had so much flavor. Oh? What was this? The feather head had a spot on him almost like Mommy did. "Mmm!" Expecting food and flavor he latched on and even gave it a bite to get it flowing. Yet nothing.

Toshiro's lack of a shirt was starting to have a downside. "Ow... ow! no no no no no, I'm not a lady! Noooo!"

Noticing the infant said something somewhat recognizable, Daikenkai had to point out the obvious "...the trick is t'get the kid t'repeat it more than one time..." He took this moment out of the story to see if Damien was indeed able to do this:

"...ye able t'say 'dog' again?"

Now, the dolly was staring at him. With big brown eyes still on Daikenkai, Damien stuffed his whole hand into his mouth as best as he could manage. However, his daddy was starting to make funny sounds, which got the baby to giggle rather than to speak again.

Daikenkai had also noticed the strange sounds and was now staring at poor Toshiro with a quirked brow. "...such a fortunate thing that the kids have teeth now, yes?" he asked sarcastically before setting Damien back in his crib. Once the relatively content baby was there, he went to assist Toshiro with baby-removal.

"'ey Ari, let me just see if I can get my finger in there..." Awkwardly, Daikenkai began to bring his finger over Toshiro's chest and narrow in on the current problem. He had to gently slide his finger around the same area to try to divert little Ari's bite to the finger rather than such a sensitive spot.

It was an odd sensation but due to the situation it wasn't really pleasing. Though his other n****e went erect, Toshiro wasn't really enjoying himself. "No no no... bad baby.. no Ari, Daddy isn't Mommy he doesn't have... foood?!" If it had been anything but a baby he may have just swatted it away but he couldn't do such. Instead he just waited for Daikenkai's assistance to work.

Though Feather head's spot looked right, Stinky had something that felt about right in his mouth. Turning his attention he started to gum and bite at the finger. Hmm, it had a flavor but it wasn't exactly a good one nor did it have food. Eventually the boy withdrew and made a sour face. "nnnyaaack..."

Despite the n****e bite the disapproval of the taste of Daikenkai's finger was just plain amusing to Toshiro. He began to chuckle. Eventually he got up and put Ari back into his crib to avoid further attempting to suckle. "I think you should wash your hands before continuing your story." Though still chuckling, Toshiro gave a wink to his partner as if asking him to skip the step and just dirty them again.

"I'd like t'think I won't 'ave t'go savin' yer n****e again, love."

At least one of the infants wasn't being too much of a pest at the moment. Certainly, it didn't seem like either infant was ready for sleep yet, but it didn't seem like either one was being too fussy.

"...alright... I s'pose I should finish the story..." Daikenkai almost seemed to groan.

"I'll have to tell them they belong to you when they are older." Toshiro chuckled and went to find a pacifier for Ari to suck on instead. "Yeah, go ahead and continue. I wanna know what happened too. The little pup manages to be the better of the group because of something right?"

"...yeah, the cliche 'good' ending fer them..." Daikenkai sighed. Taking in a deep breath, he then continued on with the story:

"The small dog saw what was happening and it felt really bad for the big dog. Being kind, he opened up the dog's mouth and crawled in. Once he was in, he reached out with both paws and managed to pull out the bone the big dog had attempted to swallow up. The small dog crawled out, taking the bone with him. When the big dog finally recovered, he thanked the small dog and promised that he'd make certain he was never left out or treated poorly due to his size. The end."

At that moment, the slender man's crimson eyes licked across his friend. "...t'was a crappy story if ye ask me."

"Aw, but it was a nice story" Toshiro smiled to his lover then gave him a wink. "If you want I can give you a big bone for being a good dog." The boy chuckled about his innuendo and then turned to the children. "Rest well little ones" Hoping the story was enough to ready the children for bed he gave them each a small kiss on the head. "Night night...."

Ahhh, perversion. What a wonderful way to rejuvenate the brain cells.

"Aye... I'll take ye up on that offer... I'll be back at our room in a bit... gotta take care of the boys first though." At least he was going to be rewarded for his efforts.

Thinking back on things....

I like snow... I really do but too much drives me crazy. You can't go anywhere and you're stuck inside. Not only that but its cold. The best thing I could figure to do with myself was to work out. Problem with that is if I practice Martial Arts it might send off a bad message to the kids. Punches and kicks ya know? Its bad enough Damien has this thing with slapping. I think he likes the sound... until he slaps Ari in the face. Then Ari cries and because he is crying Damien cries. You would think he would learn that will always happen when he slaps him in the face. Anyways... the only thing I could do to burn off some energy and stay warm was lifting weights and stuff. But I wound up putting on weight from it. Its not fat but I feel fat. I even started putting on a shirt to try and hide some of the extra bulk. I know Dai is afraid of me hurting him and the last thing I want to do is look more intimidating. At least I have the excuse that its cold so I wear shirts. Despite wearing a shirt I would think that would show the kids to keep their own clothes on but no... Both of them Diapers off and clothes thrown about. Maybe thats something from me since I used to like to be naked too.
