Welcome to Extreme Entertainment Wrestling! We hope you enjoy your stay! If you liked the old ECW or if you like the new ECW, you will be more than welcome here!

What makes EEW Extreme? The attitude, the storylines and the rules....or lack of them! Weapons aren't just used here, they are a way of life!

EEW is the home of many famous, or should that be infamous, moments in Gaia Wrestling History! People have been set alight, insults have been traded, tables have been broken, rebels find religion and noone can possibly forget what will be forever known as "The Damone Controversy". The main person who controls your characters direction is YOU!

Why is EEW unique?
EEW is different to every other Wrestling Role Playing Guild because it features innovative storylines/feuds, it has our very own Developmental League (EEW Speed) so that everyone can get enjoyment out of EEW whether you are new or experienced and it has the best members and crew you could ever hope to find!

New to EEW is the weekly show schedule. Shows will no longer last a month, but on a week-on, week-off basis from May. After three brand shows (Burn, Drown and Speed) there will be a Pay-Per-View. Then the cycle will continue.

Rules
1.Be active. One post a day would be excellent because it would keep members active and the guild itself active. This is very important.
2.Usual Gaia rules apply here.
3.If you have a problem with anything at all, PM me and I will try to work things out.
4.NO GODMODDING! Never, ever, ever!
5.No real wrestlers ie John Cena.
6.Have fun! What good would this guild be if noone had fun?

Matches
All matches are contested under ECW Rules, which mean No Disqualification but the match can only end inside the ring by pinfall or submission unless otherwise stated.

However, just because there are no rules doesn't mean blind interference can happen....like in other guilds. You will get in trouble for that if it is not part of a storyline. If you want to be a part of a match, you have to get approval from the owner of the guild, the people in the match, and the mods.

It is recommended that you write out parts of your matches to meet the new weekly deadline.

With only a week to do matches starting May, there most likely will not be time to do matches the current (of attempting a single move each post) way unless every member was very, very active.

What I recommend is members write parts of their match. When the match is finished it could look like this:-

Quote:
The following contest is scheduled for one fall and it is for the SEWF World championship. Introducing first...

Let the bodies hit the floor,
Let the bodies hit the floor,
Let the bodies hit the.....
FLOOR!

*Bodies by Drowning Pool hits the arena as The Talented One Cartwright makes his way to the ring as the crowd cheers loudly.*

"...from the UK, weighing in at 200lbs, he is The Talented One, The ACW, PAW and OECW Cruiserweight Champion......CARTWRIGHT!"

*Pyro begins to explode behind Cartwright as he raises his arms, with his hands open, taunting the crowd on the ramp!*

One - Nothing wrong with me,
Two - Nothing wrong with me,
Three - Nothing wrong with me,
Four - Nothing wrong with me.

One - Something's got to give,
Two - Something's got to give,
Three - Something's got to give,
NOOOOOOOW!

*Cartwright slides under the bottom rope, climbs the turnbuckle next to him and raises his arms as the crowd continues to cheer.*

Stricken hits the PA as red lights flash and Zarel steps out onto the stage, the SEWF World Championship belt around his waist. The fans erupt as Zarel looks out at them from under his shades. Finally, Zarel turns and heads down to the ring.

"And his opponent, from St. Louis, Missouri, weighing in at 328 pounds, he is the SEWF World champion, Zarel Damone!"

Zarel walks down the ramp slowly and stops, looking into the ring. Finally he turns and walks up the stairs, then steps in the ring through the ropes. He takes the belt off and walks to the right side of the ring, then raises his fists with the belt in his right hand while flames erupt from the turnbuckles. He turns and walks to the opposite side of the ring again as the flames continue to shoot up from the ringposts. He raises his fists again while the fans continue to cheer. Finally he turns to the center of the ring and hands the belt to the referee, then removes his leather trenchcoat and shades and hands them to an official outside of the ring. the music dies out as he turns and looks over at his opponent.

Cartwright and Zarel stand in the center of the ring, Zarel looking down at Cartwright.

Mike: Here's an interesting match up. These two men are former XCW Tag team champions and have also had a bitter rivalry in XCW. Now here in SEWF they'll do battle for the world championship.
Janelle: A strange team they were. It's a case of being good friends, but better enemies

the two men lock up and Zarel easily overpowers Cartwright, giving him one hard shove across the ring. Cartwright hits the mat and rolls to his feet, looking over at Zarel. He gets up cautiously, knowing that he'd have to switch strategies. Zarel moves in, and this time, Cartwright stays back, looking to keep his distance. Zarel throws a big right and Cartwright ducks under it, then hits a chop across the chest. Zarel takes the chop but puts his fists right back up, shaking it off easily. Cartwright looks to stay back and Zarel throws another right. Cartwright ducks and this time hits two big chops before backing off, as Zarel merely glares at him.

Mike: Zarel is showing his toughness here again tonight, shaking off those brutal knife edged chops in the early goings
Janelle: He won't be able to keep doing that. Eventually, he has to do something to connect with Cartwright

Cartwright knew Zarel was tough, but for those two chops to do nothing.....damn!

Cartwright moves in for another but Zarel grabs Cartwright's chopping arm, lifts him into the air with it and then flips him on to his back!

Mike:Zarel showing impressive strength there!

Zarel then lifts Cartwright to his feet and tries to body slam him, but Cartwright slips out of the hold behind Zarel and begins to kick his legs multiple times to take Zarel down to his knees!

Janelle:that could be a clever strategy by Cartwright, could Zarel still use that strength if he is grounded?

With Zarel on his knees, Cartwright bounces off the ropes and cracks him with a Shining Wizard! He goes for the cover!

One.....t....

Zarel kicks out quickly, plenty of energy in him still! Cartwright attempts to whip him to the ropes but Zarel reverses, then launches him into the air with a back body drop. Cartwright comes down hard and has no time to recover as Zarel gives him a hard stomp to the side of the head. Zarel pulls him up and whips him to the ropes again, then knocks him down with a reverse elbow. Cartwright gets up on his own against the ropes and Zarel clotheslines him to the outside.

Mike: Zarel showing off his dominance here tonight
Janelle: Cartwright will have to think fast if he wants to win this. He can't let Zarel keep this momentum

Cartwright gets back to his feet as Zarel raised his arms to the fans. Cartwright grabs Zarel by the legs and pulls him to the outside, followed by whipping him into the steel steps. With Zarel's back leaning against the steps Cartwright follows-up by dropkicking Zarel's chest, forcing his spine into the steps a second time!

Cartwright pulls Zarel up and tries to body slam him on to the steel steps, but Zarel escapes, hitting Cartwright with a reverse DDT on to the steps as the crowd gasps!

Zarel rolls Cart back into the ring and covers him for a two count! Zarel pulls Cartwright up and drags him to the turnbuckle, then slams his face against it. Zarel hits some hard right hands, rocking Cartwright against the buckle. Zarel whips him to the opposite turnbuckle hard enough to make him bounce back out, then hits a sidewalk slam and goes for a pin.

one...two..

Cartwright kicks out again. Zarel pulls him up and hits a hard right to the side of the head. Cartwright falls back against the ropes, then bounces back with a chop across the chest. Zarel winces, then hits another big right hand. Cartwright falls against the ropes again and bounces back with yet another chop. This time, Zarel falls back a step before hitting a throat thrust. He then whips Cartwright across the ring and goes for a boot to the face. Cartwright ducks and hits a chopblock, bringing him down to one knee. Cartwright follow with a shining wizard to the back of the head to take him down. Cartwright follows with a single leg boston crab to work over the leg

Mike: Cartwright finally getting a little more steam going here
Janelle: True, but I hope he watched Zarel's last title defense. He could find himself reversed into a sharpshooter here just like Jericho did last week

Zarel yells in pain as the single leg boston crab is wrenched in.

Zarel reaches the ropes and Cartwright makes a honourable release of the hold on time.

As Zarel gets back to his feet Cartwright charges at him, attempting a second chop block, but Zarel counters with the Big Boot, knocking Cart to the mat.

He lifts Cart to his feet and whips him into the ropes. Cartwright tries to counter with his Talented Trainwreck Enziguri but Zarel ducks the kick and places Cart in a STF!

Janelle:Well dodged by Zarel there.
Mike:I believe that's the first time we've seen Cartwright attempt his version of the enziguri here, great instincts by Zarel!

Cart yells in pain as he can't reach the ropes. He escapes the STF by elbowing Zarel in the face a few times. Zarel stands up first, holding his face. Cartwright gets up and charges in for a clothesline, but Zarel counters into a spinebuster, then goes for a pin.

one...two....

Cartwright kicks out. Zarel pulls him up and whips him to the turnbuckle, then charges after him for a clothesline. Cartwright ducks the clothesline, letting Zarel hit the buckle. Cartwright follows with a dropkick to the spine, making Zarel lean against the buckle. Cartwright goes out onto the apron and steps up onto the turnbuckle, then hits a sunset flip off the top rope, going right into a pin.

one...two...th...

Zarel kicks out. Cartwright lets him up and hits a hard chop across the chest, which knocks Zarel back against the ropes. Cartwright attempts a whip which Zarel reverses. Zarel knocks Cartwright down with a big right hand to the side of the head. Cartwright bounces back up and gets knocked down by another right. Again Cartwright gets up and this time Zarel takes him down with a body slam. Zarel then climbs the turnbuckle and waits for Cartwright to stand before knocking him down with a diving clothesline. Zarel quickly goes for a pin.

one...two....th...

Cartwright kicks out. Zarel lifts Cartwright back to his feet and whips him into the turnbuckle. He gives Cartwright a Stinger Splash, followed by whipping him into the opposite turnbuckle. He attempts a second splash but Cartwright lifts a boot.

Zarel counters by catching the boot. He swings the leg to the side but Cartwright catches him with a dragon whip kick!

Both men lay on the floor as the ref began to count. Both make it to their feet at eight and start exchanging blows which Zarel gets the better of. He whips Cartwright into the ropes and catches him for a powerslam, which Cartwright turns into a small package for a quick two count!

Zarel and Cartwright get back to their feet. Cartwright charges in and runs right into a bigboot from Zarel. Zarel raises his hand and the crowd cheers, knowing what's coming next. Cartwright stands up and Zarel plants him with a chokeslam, then goes for a pin.

one....two...thr.....

Cartwright kicks out. Zarel pulls him up to attempt the D-Bomb. Once on Zarel's shoulders, Cartwright slides down behind him, countering into a sunset flip pin.

one...two...t.....

Zarel kicks out. The two get up again and Zarel throws a big right at Cartwright. Cartwright ducks, then hits a few chops across the chest. Cartwright attempts to whip him to the ropes but Zarel reverses. Zarel attempts another clothesline, which Cartwright ducks. Cartwright stops behind him and shoves Zarel forward to the ropes. Zarel bounces back as Cartwright lowers his head for a back body drop. Zarel hits a clubbing blow to the back, then finally hits the D-Bomb and pins him

one....two....three!

Stricken hits as Zarel stands up and the referee hands him the title belt

Announcer: Here is your winner and still SEWF World champion, Zarel Damone!

Mike: What an impressive victory as Zarel continues towards Darkest Battleground, still the SEWF World champion
Janelle: Yeah. Now next week he has to get past the Heartbreak Kid, Shawn Michaels! The hits just keep on coming

Zarel raises the title belt to the cheering fans as flames erupt from the turnbuckles again and the show goes off the air.

Credit to XCW for the match.

How it could work is:-

First member to post, posts their entrance.

The second member posts their entrance and then the opening part of match.

Continue writing parts of the match between members until the match comes to a end.

Remember, here in EEW it is about telling a story with your writing, not winning titles as such. Good writers and characters will be rewarded with championships when I feel they deserve it. I think that's fair!

Promo
Every member will be expected to post one promo on their show for each weekly show and PPV as this is the best way to start and further storylines and feuds. It is also the best way to get yourself noticed.

With EEW going weekly it will be much easier to hype matches and continue storylines also as there will be more time to work on them.

Storylines
As recent storylines featuring Nuke Fusion, Travis Nightsky, Marxx, Jed and Chrono have shown, if you get into a great storyline you can SKY ROCKET up the EEW ladder!

Not only do they make each show unique and interesting but a storyline will often keep you active, coming back for more and make other members notice you which are all positives!

My suggestion is that, if your character is new to EEW, PM another member who is new to EEW and work out a storyline! Likewise, if you have been here a long time, search for a fellow veteran. This keeps everyone on a level playing-field. If you are new to EEW and try to challenge a Champion, you will lose no matter what due to experience, so don't bother!

Quote:
This is for members that are worried about doing weekly promos when the new weekly cycles start. A member gave me the OK to use their questions and responses. It really helped the member so I hope it will help others too! icon_smile.gif

Yeah, so um I'm still a little confused on how promos work. I am not exactly sure how to do them.

How I usually break down promos is like this:-

Entrance

Talk over storyline/upcoming match etc.

Talk about opponent, tag partner etc.

Last paragraph to end the promo or set-up someone to join it.
Quote:
Quote:
When you put it like that they seem easy to do. Here is my first attempt below:-

--- by --- suddenly blasts thru the arena as a figure walks thru the aisle he looks at the fans and then proceeds to flip them off he then slides into the ring looking at --- he then unmasks and removes his coat not once taking his eyes off --- he then asks for a mic "my name is --- I'm your new opponent I took out that little shrimp you were suppose to face so if you dont want to get your head kicked off by me get the hell out of my ring" he said to --- drawing heat from the crowd "shut up you brainless idiots I'm not here to please you, to make friends, to be the good guy you all want no I'm here to destroy anyone and everyone in my way" the crowd started chanting "you suck" to --- as he chuckled "keep chanting all you want it doesnt matter if you love me or hate me you all came here to watch me"

The couple of things that jump-out at me is that everything is typed in one big paragraph and the spellings and punctuation need work.

By using full words rather than 'thru' you eat-up more lines so promos look bigger straight away! And by breaking areas into smaller paragraphs it makes them easier to read but again eats-up more lines!
Quote:
Quote:
yeah i see what you mean by separating it that makes it easier to read and adds more of the lines to make it more compelling and thought out.

Exactly! Here's how I'd have wrote yours as a example:-

--- by --- suddenly blasts through the arena as a figure walks through the aisle. He looks at the fans and then proceeds to flip them off. He then slides into the ring looking at ---. The man then unmasks and removes his coat, not once taking his eyes off ---.

He then asks for a mic.

"My name is ---. I'm your new opponent because I took out that little shrimp you were supposed to face. So if you don't want to get your head kicked off by me, get the hell out of my ring." He said to --- drawing heat from the crowd.

"Shut up you brainless idiots. I'm not here to please you, to make friends, to be the good guy you all want. No, I'm here to destroy anyone and everyone that gets in my way."

The crowd started chanting "You Suck" to --- as he chuckled.

"Keep chanting all you want, it doesn't matter if you love me or hate me, you all came here to watch me."
Quote:
Quote:
that makes it look a lot better so in between each time a character speaks i should sometimes separate it by starting new paragraphs

I think that's the general rule in writing for speech, to start a new line when speaking or at most a new line, quick expression and one more speech line.

For example:-

"I'm so damn hungry." Cartwright states. "That I could eat a toe and not puke it up."

I'm no expert at English Lit or anything, just what I've picked-up from experience! It doesn't look good to have, say:-

"Wow!" Cartwright says. "There sure is alot of..." He thinks. "....speech text here....." He thinks again. "For a paragraph." He mutters out-loud.
Quote:
Quote:
oh that makes a lot more sense then what i was doing because with that it avoids confusing the person reading it and makes them want to keep reading right

Plus with the second example, if I broke those up into seperate paragraphs then that's at least another three-four lines added to a promo!

"Wow!" Cartwright says. "There sure is alot of...."

He thinks.

"...Speech text here....."

He thinks again.

"....For a paragraph." He mutters out-loud.

As you say, it's little things like this that make promos easier to read and make people want to continue reading it! Have you ever seen a block of text and thought, "Not interested."?

Quote:
Quote:
yes lots of times to be honest it makes me not even want to read

I think everyone would say that, a big block of text looks boring to read and also with all the words so close together you can lose track of where you are!

The Booking Team
We plan the behind the scenes stuff like match cards, top fives, title shots etc.

Advanced Profile Area
Every member is expected to post their profile in this subforum, following the advanced profile template I posted. If you do not post a profile, do not expect any matches.

The Brand Split
The idea is that with the roster effectively cut in half it gives more wrestlers the chance to move up the ladder quicker and become a EEW Legend!

Interpromotional Feuds
Must be saved for special events like EEW One Night Stand and The Birthday Show, otherwise they do not mean anything!

Speed
The WWE would be nothing without OVW. OVW works by training up amateur wrestlers until they are ready for the big time! EEW Speed works in that same way.

Why is EEW Speed Unique?
Unlike other guilds where the same people post in "Training Grounds" etc but still post in the main promotion, EEW Speed features people and characters EXCLUSIVE to the brand. It is completely seperate from the main EEW show, which is why EEW Speed has its own General Manager.

EEW Speed Pay-Per-View Matches
On EEWs Pay-Per-Views, EEW Speed Championships will be defended. This is done so that the main EEW roster can get a glimpse of the future.

If you are a EEW Speed Champion, your chances of being promoted to the main roster sky rocket! So grab those titles as fast as you can and keep the storylines coming!

In-activeness
If you're a big name and you decide to go in-active without telling us, your character will be sent to Speed for a cycle or two upon you're return. It's a hassle for the bookers to try and replace you on the card when you leave without us knowing.
So to reiterate, if you leave for a month or so and you don't say a word...off to Speed you go.

Can I use real wrestlers like John Cena in EEW?
No. Besides, if you were going to play as a real you would choose Kurt Angle! xd

Quote:
Yeah, I'm the current/a former world/tag team/midcard/women's champion of *enter name of other guild here*, so give me a title shot! We have unfinished business in *enter name of guild here*

This first part is primarily for you Speeders. However, it made me think of other things, but mainly of jmfactor from a while back, and from when Chrono first came to EEW. It's not a huge pet peeve, but I believe in keeping what happens in one guild in that guild.

You're starting fresh each time you join a new guild, which means that your character isn't gonna be the same guy you played in another guild

Also, you do have to start from the bottom. Begging for title shots ain't gonna get you anywhere.

Added a Storyline section and merged most of the Speed stuff into this one as well. When the rosters sorted I'll add that too! Going to add the title records too so that the main page isn't so cluttered and everything is here!

Added a note about not using real wrestlers.

Think I missed anything in the rules? PM me!
