"Hmm. Well that makes one in a bunch..." He mused darkly himself, on the comment how she was not swayed by his seductive nature that few had fallen for. This time, instead of trying to follow her moves Aion closed his eyes; allowing his ears to follow her gentle pawprints on the stone floor. He already could conclude that Elu must have gotten her babbling mouth from this female, if she was taken in by this spirit. Opening his eyes slowly, his displeased glare settled on the femme who he called 'mate'. "Ruin my life?" He snarled, apparently her words fanning the flame of his chained god deep in his soul. "If anything, my life has been decaying thanks to her." He hissed, before shaking his head swiftly, staring at the ground to regain his composure before speaking in well thought out and slow words.
"Test.." He echoed her words, observing the myserious antics of the estranged Elu. If it was a simple test, he would have no problem passing anything she could come up with. Yet...the wager was something which seemed to tug at his dormant heart; his family. Although never one to admit that he even had loved ones, rather loathing the fact that any of them even existed. However, even that seemed to feel like a lie....ever since he had met Elu his world had been turned upside down. Abandoning, or attempting to, his god, shrine, way of life to be at her side. Not to mention when she became pregnant with pups, meeting and pleasing her sister, staying by her side at the birth and pupsitting. Frankly, he lived each day for the fact of doing the things he did for them, no matter now much he complained, moped or loathed it. It was natural now. "Lets get this over with." He huffed, turning his head to the side in his permanent defiance to anything remotely close to caring.

A deep throaty chuckle emerged from her throat, "Then let us begin."
One step, two, three, with each step she gained momentum, charging into him like a bull, slamming her entire weight against him before vanishing only to appear again, to slash at his chest with her tiny claws. Her golden eyes glittered, emotionless as she moved, avoiding any attempt at injury to herself. Her body did not tire, fueled by the Goddess, why would it? "Tell me," She whispered though her question was directed not at Aion, but his god, "Why do you want him so?" She chuckled softly, "We are enemies, love," She charged again, "And yet.....are we not allies?" She asked softly. She seemed to have forgotten that Aion was there, though she continued her attacks with the same gusto as ever. Her golden eyes glittered again, seeming to wait for answer.

Frowning as she charged him, Aion made no motion to dodge her charging attack; only wincing as her body slammed into his own sending him skidding. No more then a blink later, warmth surrounded his chest as she lashed out to claw him...luckily not drawing blood. Breathing calmly, Aion turned his head up to gaze at Elu, both eyes taking on a red hue. "We are nothing, you and I. I am allies with no one, as I consume and destroy....once there is nothing left of a Malu, I bore and move on....such foolish creatures they are beliving in anything with power." He laughed, more sinister than anything he could have mustered normally. "Luckily for me, after this one's mother became consumed in the agony of her own actions to all she held dear...this one had become ripe from tragedy to easily consume. Heh, his god was simple to overcome. Just like all gods, we assert our dominance only when our user is vulnerable....isn't that right?"
As the attacks continued, Aion still made no more to retaliate or defend himself. "Stop it.." He hissed at his god, feeling his presence linger him in and out of consiousness. Groggy, as he winced from another attack, he looked to Elu....forgetting about her goddess for a moment. "Elu.." He breathed, trying to will his god back into the depths of his blackened soul.

Golden eyes glinted, "You are the one who is foolish." She replied her voice taking the warmth of a glacier, "But I suppose, that is entirely your nature. A wonder you were exiled." She kicked out at him with a back hoof, "Vulnerable? Ha," her lips twitched in something close to a smirk, "Hardly, I asked, foolish god, and was honored for doing such," She paused, as the host of the god attempted to repress him, "Ah....Prince, she'll return return if you pass." She replied amiably, "Golden eyes softening. Inside though, something stirred, Ai.....on....
It is alright, daughter, she murmured softly, Everything will be fine. There is nothing to worry about. she reassured the appaloosa female. Elu lapsed into silence, though she was still aware of what was happening, though just barely.

"Hmph...I'd rather be exiled then be amongst such weak and foolish gods. Even now, your actions do not hurt me, it simply wounds my host. You and his first foolish god are no different. Kill him for all I care...it is not hard to find another. Actually....his daughters look like promising hosts, one of them as well as their son I will be keeping my eyes on." As the sinister voice faded, Aion shook his head violently, his eyes shut. "No more....No more....please." He shuddered lightly as the pain her kick had brought, slowly lowering his bruised body onto the ground.
"E..lu" Aion nearly whimpered, covering his face with his paws. It had been a while since his god had taken so much controll...leaving him in the hellish darkness of his own soul. 'Just...leave. Go back, I don't want to hear it..' He spoke to his god, silencing him for the moment.

kGolden eyes narrowed, it was not unlike the god to attempt to trick her with words, he was notorous for such things anyway. But as the words echoed through her mind....they reached the sleeping soul inside. "No!" Elu's body shuddered as Elu regained control of her body and she stalked forward, nosing her mate, "Aion..." She murmured, her eyes once again the deep brown they had been before, "I would like to inform your parasite of one thing." Her eyes were cold, "If he touches my children, if he hurts them and if he touches you, I will make sure he never does so again. I don't care what it takes." She heaved a sigh and growled, "Aion..." Her body shuddered and collapsed next to his, "By the goddess...." She moaned softly, hanging her head, exhausted.

Sliding one paw off his face to allow his good eye to see, he listened as she spoke to his god...having no doubt that he heard her due to the tingling sensation in his heart. He hadn't though of the concequences of the burden he carried thanks to his mother, having known such a disturbing truth...Gods will on occasion die with their host, yet often or not they'll leave before it happens. If it ever came to the chance that he would try and consume one of their children...he knew the cost Elu was talking about, even if she did not realize it herself. Aion knew exactly what it took.
Taking a deep breath as she collapsed beside him, she had exerted a lot of her own energy attacking him, even if it wasn't her. Slowly curling his body around her own, he draped his head over her neck, ignoring the pain in his ribs. "I know, Elu. I know." He whispered softly, relaxing his body and mind in the soft green glow of the room.

Elu was too exhausted to react much to his behavoir, merely resting her head on his paws, "I mean it." She growled firmly, "I don't care what it takes, that god won't get them."
A soft chuckle echoed across the room, Of course he won't, not while I'm here murmured a voice.
Elu stirred, raising her head, ears p***k and eyes wide as if she could not believe it, "Milady?" She whispered, astonished. Her goddess had never done anything like this and had never given the impression she was this powerful. How was it possible?
Indeed replied the voice, amusement trailing on the edges of her words, I suppose you and your prince are wondering why I have done this... murmured the voice.
Elu nodded once, the most she could muster at the moment, the effects of her goddess' possesion lingered along with the fatigue. She rested her head once again on Aion's paws, bemused by the fact that she was neither reacting strongly, nor that he made some aggravating comment toward it.
The voice seemed to sigh, a soft breeze fluttering over them, It is a bit complicated.... mused the voice, But I suppose it comes down to the fact that we needed to know your prince was not fully under the spell of Him.... The voice trailed off for a minute, as if gathering its thoughts.

Perking his ears up to the voice, Aion made little effort to look as if he was paying attention...much too comfortable to care. The fact that Elu's goddess was to blame for his sore body didn't help in the slightest either. None the less, he gave her the honour of listening to what she spoke, as the soft breeze flowed through his ebony fur.
"Mhn. An explanation to why you decided to attack me would be nice." Sarcasm, always a favorite in Aion's tone of voice. Feeling her soft head rest upon his paws once more, his wing reacted and curled over the side of her body...almost in a posessive mannor as his eyes remained closed to the world. Why need to open them for a voice?
Another grunt escaped his lips, this time barely cracking open a bright orange orb to stare at the glowing green walls. "My demons may be powerful....yet I am not that weak to let them fully prevail. If that was the case, would you not think I would have harmed Elu and the pups by now? He strives on pain, you, goddess should know such, and the fate his full consumption of me will bring." He mused in an almost saddened mannor, to those trained well enough to pick out the subtle differences in his quite monotone vocals.

A soft chuckle, You picked a sarcastic one, eh daughter? Another sigh fluttered through the room, Elu'ituha....is precious to me. murmured the voice, Precious enough that I care who she chooses as a mate and I look after her children, A rueful chuckle, You have no idea what it took to convince their gods to let me look after them as well.
Elu's lips twitched involuntarily. To think that her goddess cared enough to do such a thing....it was very touching. Her ear twitched back toward Aion as he spoke, and she bit back a remark about respecting your elders. She let it vanish when his wing settled on her.
....Indeed, prince, that is quite clear. replied the voice, amusement the faintest trace. But let us move on, I attacked you, because I wanted to know whether or not you had what it takes to protect Elu'ituha and the children, whether or not you were comepletely taken in by Him and all that was left was a shell. There was an impression of a shrug, You passed, if you'd like to know, but just barely.

"...And she picked a nosey Goddess. Looks like we have her to blame then." He mused, with a light chuckle as he tugged at her ear rather gently. "All of the children? Hmm. I didn't think you'd get to Viveca and Ida'lia's Gods....both seem more independant than even I was as a child." Viveca was mostly his worry....she seemed rather eclusive, not bonding or even aknowleging any of the family. Yet from his constant monitoring of the youth...she did always seem to be in though; almost angrily. From what he saw of the kids, it seemed her and Orahn would need more of a careful eye than the other...more cheerful girls.
"If you would have asked erlier, I would have agreed with your assumption." He admitted, opening his eyes fully despite it really didn't matter with his blind eye. "However, things have....changed. I can't admit that I have not become something...because I have...even if it is just a bit." A small huff emitted from his lips at the news that he had passed her little test of worthiness. "Heh, my specialty. You need not to worry...I know my fate will be sealed one day with Him...I've known this since the night I met Elu. When the time comes...you only need to take my place after I am gone."
Heh. Fate was always such an amusing tragedy.

A bell-like laughed echoed throughout the room, Nosey? I suppose... An amused tone leeched into the voice, Ha, as I said, you have no idea how far my influence travels.
Elu listened quietly as the two spoke but the last bit of his sentence made her eyes fly open and jerked herself around. She opened her mouth and closed her jaws around his mouth and nose-gently- growling softly. After a minute like that she left him go and glared at him. "Do not ever say that again, Understand?" Her tone was just a hair above threatening.
She couldn't help it....sometimes she got cranky when she was tired and she simply refused to believe that Aion would die. Realistically, she knew he would, but she'd go through hell to prevent it from being caused by his god.
....If you two are through murmured the voice, amusement laden in it's tone, Shall we continue?

"Hm. I don't think I want to know. If only your influence could penetrate his thick mind-humphf!" Aion muttered, eyes wide as in a moment and a growl later he found his muzzle entrapped by Elu's. Quickly tracking back to what he could have said to provoke such an aggressive act....it was quickly answered when she released his maw to speak. Lowering his ears, his eye turned to the side as he spoke in a lower tone. "I won't...yet you know as well as I do.." With a final lick to her forehead, he left the subject lie.
Turning out and looking around the room, he nodded lightly, speaking lightly. "We're done. Go ahead." Although he really didn't have a clue on what else there was to talk about.

Elu growled, "No contradiction!" She huffed and allowed him to lick her forehead. She turned in the direction of the voice once again, head tilted, because she did not know what her goddess wanted to discuss.
The silence lengthened and Elu glanced curiously at Aion, Was something wrong? Finally, the voice spoke again, It appears....that there is something I must take care of a breeze rustled through the room again, And you sould return to your family. The air rustled again, as if something was moving, But first.... something pressed against her forehead, between her eyes and though she didn't know it, her eyes flashed golden for a bref second. She blinked and glance at Aion. Apparently she had done the same to Aion, his eyes flashed golden as well. Don't fret, chuckled the voice, It is merely my blessing.....and my mark. You'll be safe, as well as your children. The voice faded into nothingness and the glow of the moss and mushrooms seem to fade slightly.
With a sigh, Elu rose to her feet, "Come on, Aion." She took a few steps back in the direction they had come from, "We'd better do as she says," She paused and looked back at him, a brow raised, "Besides, we have to decide on your punishment for allowing my daughter down here." She trotted toward the surface, almost smug in her walk. She had plans for Aion and she didn't care whether he liked it or not.

Odd....what would she need to take care of? Aion decided not to dwell further on affairs of the gods...it never did him any good. At the moment he noticed the mark begin to glow on the both of him, he frowned and closed his eyes. "I feel tainted.." He huffed, obviously his mocking nature had returned once more as he stood alongside her. Despite this...deep in his heart he felt relieved that he knew if anything were to happen to him, Elu would not be alone.
"Hey...what! I got bloody s**t kicked by you and your goddess, is that not punishment enough?" He fretted, yet moments after sighed, knowing any plea he could have made would go on deaf ears with his mate. Shaking his head, he followed her back out of the hole to the surface, and their children.
