I seem to have subconsciously given up.
Whenever I sit down to right nothing at all comes out. I've sat in front of the computer for almost 30 minutes doing nothing but listening to music and not typing anything.
So yeah, I'm not going to finish this year, sadly, but at least I've learned something, and I have a start of a story. I doubt this will happen, but I keep imagining December first, I sit down and churn out over 20k words.

I've done the same.
Everyday I sit at my computer, write a couple of hundred words and then think 'Oh Well, I'll make up for it tomorrow.'
I've decided even if I don't finish before the end of the month, I'll finish before the end of the year.

Its gotten worse. After not working on it pretty much at all for the last week now I don't even WANT to work on it, even though I've resigned myself to not finishing this month.
I came up with a completely new idea yesterday, though, that I want to pursue. But if I've learned anything this past month its that middles are the freakin' hardest part of writing. Starting, thats not so hard. Ending, piece of cake. Filling in the middle, that is some serious difficulty.

I do this in everything.
Subconiously give up by procrasonating it to death.
Big surprise, I did it in Nano this year. I managed to get something done. Then I had to reformat my computer and lost that something. I tried again. Had not even half a chapter before I gave up in fusteration. When I was in a better mood I just didn't feel like it anymore/forgot about it.
Oh well, maybe I'll get a new computer and figure out how to get my lazy a** into doing a daily grind next year. Any ideas? biggrin xd
