Unaware of the fact that another had recently done the same thing, Malifer sat in a cafe across from a man with purple skin and dirty blonde hair. She wasn't speaking, just staring at him over her tall glass of hot cocoa. He was staring back, malevolence in every part of his pose. Quell was resting his chin on his knuckles, and it made every bone in his wrist evident.

"You know, I always thought you would be a girl," the redhead said, acid dripping off her every word. No one turned to look at her; they seemed to think that everyone in Gaia was gaining imaginary friends or something. "And it turns out you're a girly man." Her upper lip rippled in distaste. She hated it when gender lines weren't clear- really hated it.

He smirked, stubbornly maintaining the silence that had so irritated Mali earlier.

Quell turned to look at the newcomers, bored of the vitrol in Malifer's expression. Another imaginary friend?... perhaps. He shrugged and turned back to his crazy girl, reentering the staring contest without a single seam.

"His" crazy was not too interested, now that another was over there. She stood, picking up her hot cocoa, and slid over to stand a little bit beyond Shin. "Hello," she said softly, her voice calm now. "Uhm, I was wondering... can you see him?" she asked, pointing at her companion. Quell had followed with a long-suffering look, his cassock swirling slightly.
