"you have been?" he asked, raising his eyebrows "I'v never found my way there, whats it like?"
he smiled softly wondering for a moment what the Swan herself was like, and he hoped that she would listen to there prayer next time they went.

"Well way up river theres an island and at the center is a huge tree with marshmallow birds growing on it, those are so yummy to eat, they are soft and have a sugar coating, yum~" He giggled at himself and tightened his hughold for a moment. "Whenever you want to go, just let me know." he said, softly blushing now.
"When I visited as a pup, I was curious about where babies came from, and so I went and had a look around, this was before I knew about praying so I didn't try that or anything, I just flew around and ate some peeps, then was off chasing after Sophie again."

he nodded softly, but just settled back down onto his love, he was interested in going, but at this moment, all he wanted to do was remained curled up with the warm Xiang.
he listed to the story. until he heard a name he did not recognize. thinking it was a childhood friend or something, he found this a good opportunity to hear more about Xiang's past.
"was Sophie your friend?"

"Urk, Sophie was... yea a friend but she was a, umm, a butterfly."
Xiang squeaked out embarrassed. Sure he had been sometimes lonely and usually hyper as a pup with an active imagination, but admitting that he had a butterfly as a friend, saying it out loud made him feel silly.
"I found when I was eating marshmallow flowers, and I talked to her, made up a name for her, I don't even know if she was a 'her' but I guess I liked the name at the time."
But he kept explaining, it was Renem after all. "I called it 'hide and seek', but really I just lost track or her when I wasn't looking and then would go off and do something else, then if she found me again, if I saw her again, the game would begin again."

Renem Giggled at the surprise of hearing it was a butterfly, and confused to giggle though out the whole story.
"oh thats very cute"
he said smiling at the glowing numa.
"I've heard of butterfly, but i'v never met one before. what are they like?"
he could not put a picture in his head of one. but from what people told him, they where gentle sweet bugs, that apparently others liked to chase after.
"does Sophie still come around?"

"No, when the weather started to get colder, just before I met you, was the last time I saw her, I hope she flew south for the winter... but I don't know if butterflies fly south or if they just have short lives."
There was a hint of sadness in his feminine voice a touch of melancholy that lightened as he continued to speak, "She was lovely, bright colors, large delicate wings, and she like to speak very softly so that I could barely hear her, she would begin to sing and then flit away so that I would give chase and after eluding me for a time I would sit still and she might rest upon a leaf or a flower or me." Here he leaned in and made butterfly kisses on Renem's cheek with his eyelashes. With his hands he traced the shape of wings on Re's back about the size of Sophie.
"When the spring comes again, I'll introduce you to her and her kin, I think she'd really like you, and you her."

"I would like that" he said. smiling softly, sighing deeply and kissing Xiang as he came closer.
he was sad that Xiang worried about his little friend. and wished that he could help
"she sounds wonderful"
he stroked Xiang's warm hair.
his eyelids began to droop, though he fought against it, he wanted to keep them open. so look at his mate for as long as he could. he lived in darkness enough, he wanted to stay awake, in the dark forever with Xiang.
but sleep was slowly tightening its comfortable grip on him

This time Xi was the one surprised by a kiss, he held onto Renem drinking in their closeness like a dying man at a desert oasis. Getting want he wanted, in his heart he felt content, he was sure that Renem felt the same, and sure that if he didn't he would voice his feelings. Remembering his childhood and telling Sophie stories were like bedtime tales, fitting that they were both so tired, but Xiang had wanted to ask Re about his pup days. Another day, we have time~
When he noticed Re's eyelids drooping, "Sleep with me my love, I'll still be here when the morning sun comes," he whispered, missing the reason for Renem's resistance.

Renem smiled softly, reaching a paw up to put it on the side of Xiang's face
"then lets sleep all day to. so that come night, i can stay up, and just look at you"
curling up around his love, he relaxed his head. glowing eyes slowly lidded as he just listed to the sound of Xiang's heart.

Xiang chuckled, "Maybe we can ask Jedrek for some coffee, that could keep us awake... Jedrek?" Xiang's eyes popped open, remembering that they had left the coffee at the swamp earlier that day. It was his home, and Xi was sure that the coffee was fully capable of taking care of himself but, shouldn't they of stayed or waited to see if he came back okay, that he found what he was looking for? He started to say more but Renem seemed to be asleep already. In the morning, Xiang reassured himself, I'll make it up to Jedrek~

he laughed tiredly.
"I never.. want... coffee" he said finally dozing off
Jedrek's orange eyes gleaned hauntingly from the shadows of the trees. his dark form striding forward, slowly the shaded colors of his rotting body, barely visible in the dark.
he paused for a moment, seeing the two Numa he had left behind, but continued to slink forward. talking in a low, but very clear voice to the only one that seemed awake
"he is asleep I see."

Xiang's lids alternated between rising and falling, he wanted to sleep but it never came quickly. When Jedrek his presence known, Xi started a little then tried to keep still so as not to wake Renem.
"Jedrek oh~ Hey you're back, that's great. Guess that means you found the coffee you were looking for? I'm sorry we weren't much help and didn't stay closer, we got umm distracted." Xiang blushed as he quickly whispered his apology, then he looked down a Renem. "Yea, he wanted to stay awake longer, maybe to see you back safely but he fell asleep just a bit ago."

he sat down once he reached the two, eyes shifting over to Xiang with out moving his head.
pausing for a moment he then slowly shook his head from side to side
"I don't care" he replied
Renem usually had a hard time falling sleep, unless he knew someone was in the aria, so Jedrek was not surprised that the Starry Numa was sleeping already. Jedrek had dragged him all around Candy land that day in search for coffee.
"the Swamp has everything i need," he said hauntingly "It always has"
he blinked slowly "you might as well sleep to" he added, walking off aways from them and settling down on the grass, starring blankly into the woods, claws crossed casually. he fell silent, not to sleep. he did not sleep, but he had nothing else to do till the morning when the others would wake.

Xiang was a bit taken aback, "Oh umm okay, good night then Jedrek." He didn't know what else to say as it seemed that Jedrek didn't want his apology, he nodded and after a few minutes was breathing steadily, asleep.
