It had been a few days since her last encounter with Vian, and Palesa found herslef lulling into a sense of security. There were not many out wandering in the path she choose, thus giving her more time to spend with her son and the new...traveling buddy they seemed to have picked up upon the way. Deep down she knew Kilango would find a way, but to see her wandering not too far behind after three days of travel was something Palesa never expected.
The cub had done it, she had found a way to slip through the cracks and make it so Palesa had no way to turn her away.
Sighing, the pale lioness shifted from her spot, glancing to the side to where both cubs were currently resting, or maybe playing she was unsure. As long as they were in the designated place and hidden, she was fine with what they did. Turning back, a yawn spanned out from her maw and she shifted, wondering if today would be endless such as every other one. She really, really needed to rest soon, or else her watch may end unvolentarily with her fainting. But as always, cubs before her, she needed to protect them.

Ash had once again found himself trying to trespass into Prideland territory. It was unfortunate that there always seemed to be someone strolling along, making his life only more complicated. However he felt sure that today he'd be able to /not/ accidentally run into someone. Yes. Today was the day. He nodded to himself in somewhat assurance, despite that half of his mind was hardly convinced of his claim.
And so the albino stalked along, using the trees and plants as hiding spots while he snuck through the border between the South and Pridelands. So far so good. Although, unfortunately for him, the feeling of partial success up to this point would be short lived.
The adult stopped momentarily, keeping as alert as always with his ears quirked upright and pinkish red eyes dashing this and that. They observed the scene, the endless stretching land riddled with trees and bushes to duck behind. Everything seemed fine.. silence was always assuring. To some extent. Ashado began to sneak forward, taking every precaution imaginable to keep hidden or unnoticable. Unfortunately his steps halted immediately as a movement was caught in the corner of his eye.
Keeping exceptionally still, he turned his head, searching for the origin of whatever had caught his immediate attention. It took him a few moments to realize, but boy as soon as he did.
His breathing grew shallow and his movement slowed, eyes widening, mind quickly calculating which way to dash. First he would wait. Maybe.. maybe it didn't notice him. Maybe.. it wouldn't come near..
Fat chance. The critter (commonly known as a rabbit) took a sudden hop in Ash's direction, causing a shrill scream accompanied with a sprint in the opposite direction. His face had filled with panic and terror as he scrambled through the territory. Unfortunately for him, this display probably would only draw attention, not keep it away. Not to mention, little did he know that he was headed towards a small group of the very things he meant to keep hidden from - a lion and two cubs, who he probably would trampel accidentally if no one managed to stop him.

Settling down on her haunches after a long moment, Palesa had her back to the other as she just looked out into the golden distance as her eyes skimmed the hills. Everything seemed so peaceful, relaxing and just a pure bliss with how the winds brushed down throughout the lands. It was so different than the pridelands, so alive and thrilling, and she suddenly wondered why she had left it all in the first place.
Suddenly, her ears perked as a sort of scream sounded and echoed in the silent lands. Turning her head to the sorce, she looked north for a long moment before a flash caught her eye. Training her gaze onto that flash, she realized it was a white lion, running all but full speed towards her and her cubs.
Standing, she moved a bit in front of her cubs, and narrowed her brown eyes slowly. This lion seemed keen on running, and she had to find a way to stop him. Raising her lip just lightly, a growl moved from her maw until she suddenly roared, a demand for him to stop once he was close enough to hear.
Hopefully, the youths wouldn't get any ideas to see what was going on.

Ash had issues hearing or thinking anything else once the thought of panic reached in. In turn, despite Palesa's warning, the male unfortunately kept moving. Running on purely fear and adrenaline perhaps gave him the appearance of a prey beast running from danger, and considering that he was running and screaming from a rabbit..? Childish, to say the very least.
Fortunately his eyes kept him from getting too close, since a bright green female with pearly whites was hard to dismiss. Executing his shrill screaming with one last, cry-like wail, the albino leapt behind a nearby bush, taking to a quick 'duck and cover' sort of position. This was done with little hesitance, considering that he was now hopefully safe from both bunny and lion. "Evil creatures.. evil.. things.. trying to eat me.. scary canibal flashing it's teeth at me.. feed me to it's.. it's.. things.. probably. If it has any." He mumbled to himself, eyes shooting from side to side while he remained curled into a tight ball with his forepaws covering the top of his head. Although his tail swung nervously from side to side, perhaps protruding from the bush and giving away his already sad sort of hiding spot. He was much to large to hide easily behind a single shrub.
Aside from his mumbling, the land seemed uncanningly silent from the aftermath of his screaming cherade. It was awkward and uncomfortable, for once.

Blinking, she just raised her head as his scream peirced the silence and he ducked behind the bush. She had no idea what to say to that, so she merely watched silently with stunned surprise as his words brushed her ears.
"Canibal...feed to it's things..." She said softly with a sort of breath of laughter, before settling back upon her haunches. Unsure of what to do next, she watched and waited, her tail curled around both cubs to make sure they were secure and new just not to do a single thing.
