...My mom wont let me get a PS2 stare
My sisters and I used to be able to play games and we had x-box playstation 2, etc. (at my dads house)
Well, now I only have a gameboy and I told my mom that I really wanted to get a playstation 2 becuase I love to play games like Final Fantasy and Naruto, but she said no. I dont know why cuase she got us one before, but sold it becuase part of it was missing...I asked her why and she said becuase we have enough junk around the house...WE DOD NOT! The only thing I have is a gameboy (and only one game to play) and the computer, but of course I cant play games on it either becuase she doesnt want the computer to slow down or something and for some reason she thinks Guild Wars (my favorite game) is bad stressed
No use in even trying to ask her anymore I guess cuase I'll get in trouble. She's somewhat a control freak and worries WAY to much...if she even found out I talked to people on here besides my sister, I'd be dead...well not literaly, but she wouldn't let me get on here anymore..She even thinks that facebook is dangerous rolleyes
I dont mean to flame, but I'm upset cuase she thinks she knows everything, (yes she is my mom and knows alot more) but she has no clue about anything on computers and online. SHE JUST DOESNT UNDERSTAND ME! I mean, I'm more of a gamer person and I am not that social..I have more friends online then I do IRL, and I dont know what I would do if she took that away from me crying
I would have nothing...I'm alone at home now since my sisters are at college and my mom works all the time so when she comes home, usually she is to tired to go anywhere...This is all I've got! One time the internet went out and there was nothing on t.v. and I had nothing to do. I was a little upset cuase I felt lonely and I asked my mom when it could be fixed. She told me to find something else to do, that the computer was to important to me...well it's not! I always do my chores and school work and all, and she doesn't let me go anywhere with my friends or anything, so what the heck am I supposed to do!!!
I'm sorry, I just had to write this, you dont have to reply if you dont want to and I'm sorry if I wasted your time....it would be nice though if you did post if you have any ideas to help me....

Hmm, that really sucks. I hate control freak parents, but mine are never home so ya know I don't have to worry about it much. All I can really say is just ignore your mom. Thats what I do. And the ps2...well you could always buy it yourself. I don't know how old you are but where I am you can get a job at fourteen. But then again I'm in Florida and have no idea where you are at or how old you are. But yeah she couldn't take something away from you that you bought yourself right? Well I hope I helped a little.

Yeah, just buy one yourself. She can't really stop you from getting one yourself, can she?

Yea, but the problem is that even if I did buy one myself(or try) she would say no...I'm 16...and I cant get a job stare

BTW, anyone know any computer games that are fun to play online for free? I've heard of MapleStory and RunesScape, but when I tried downloading MapleStory my computer wouldn't let me play it. heart

I've heard of MapleStory and RunesScape, but when I tried downloading MapleStory my computer wouldn't let me play it. heart Well, theres Shattered Galaxy if you like MMORTS games, Wolfenstien Enemy Territory if you like FPS with a lil bit of Rpg in there, other than that I don't really know of any good games you can get, ask for some more for your gameboy maybe? *shrug*

That sucks. It probably wouldn't be so infurriorating if she wouldn't give lame excuses for not letting you have one. Maybe if you keep bugging her she'll cave in.
My mom gets mad when I buy games, but I earn my own money and buy my own stuff so she can't say anything. She and my dad are completly against me getting any computer games. My dad is more understanding about my games. He just doesn't want the computer used up with game memory and what-not.
