By this logic, adoption - an option considered by the majority of lifers as a positive one - would be irresponsible, as it is the "easy way out" of 18+ years of childcare.
People use the same "it's the easy way out" argument to say that abortion is not a consequence. However,
the dictionary definition makes no distinction. By this definition, abortion is a consequence, and isn't the usual argument to deal with the consequenceS of your actions?
The easy way out. The common label slapped on abortion. This label is often used by the same people who dramatize the procedure by faking stats(breast cancer risk, anyone?), photoshopping stillborns and calling them first-trimester abortion, exaggerate procedures like scissor-stabbing "partial birth" abortion and (no longer practiced)saline injection abortions. Oh yeah,not to mention they often give women hell for walking into PP clinics without having a clue as to what they're really going to do. You simply can't shove this crap down someone's throat then call abortion "the easy way out." It ceases to become the "easy way out" when you do.
