This was my favourite fighting game for the year before I got into tekken. I think its called Soul Blade in the US?

It'd be version 2 that I was playing? but it only said soul edge on the box xD

Here is a list of game released under that title!

* Soul Edge (1995) - Arcade only.
* Soul Edge: Version 2 (1996) - Arcade and PlayStation (Released as Soul Blade in USA and Europe).
* Soul Calibur (1999) - Arcade and Sega Dreamcast.
* Soul Calibur II (2003) - Arcade, PlayStation 2, Xbox and Nintendo GameCube.
* Soul Calibur III (2005) - PlayStation 2.
* Soul Calibur III: Arcade Edition (2006) - Arcade only.

I don't remember if all the old characters stayed in the new games but the ones I remember are:

-Sophie
-Taki
-Voldo
-Cervantes

If you want more info...

WIKIPEDIA IS THE WAY TO GROW!!! biggrin

My favourite character was Cervantes :3

and I miss fighting on this square block on the water!

What to talk about?

-Characters, Scenery, gameplay, anything!
-Anything related to Soul Edge... not soul caliber xD I didn't even like soul caliber...

I played Soul Edge once, and the the rest of the games a few times except for the latest one. The characters are always interesting and their fighting styles. I like a lot of the characters except for Voldo, he scares me. crying

Ah yes, good ol Soul Edge. 3nodding

I remember first playing this at a very old and rusty arcade and then playing it over at Playdium when they had it. Definetly a great game that has come a long way from where it was, but still has remained the same in many ways. I remember I always thought that Lizard Man was cool, although now I find him to be kind of lame.

Oh and did you know that in Tekken 3, in Paul/Bryan's stage you can find a graffiti art of Soul Edge. Pretty cool, no?

Yeah, the original ruled! I played it on Playstation. I loved the weapons you could unlock in edge master mode (or whatever it was called). Sophitia was the best in that game, and her ultima weapon, the Apollo blade was pretty much the best too. Regenerates health fast, great damage, defense and reach. The newer Soul Caliburs come out, the less I like them for some reason. I blame Maxi... Li Long was way cooler. BTW who was Rungo? I think they may have changed his name in Soul Blade cause I don't remember that name at all...

I don't think I remember Voldo burping sweatdrop But he is really cool in his "Aliens" outfit in SC2. He wasn't that freaky to me, just a lil nasty sometimes (he likes showing his crotch, which has been amputated! Meryln Manson anyone?)
