Teleka hadn't seen his mate or son for a while, he had been constantly looking for his daughter, it wasn't like her to just vanish like that. It had confused him and upset him. Today though he was heading home, he had given up, it was better to be with his mate and son then on his own looking for his daughter.
He was a mess, his mane was partially matted and his pelt was incredibly dusty. He needed to see Kijinga, his love, his mate.
He reached their den and looked inside, "Kijinga? Tamu?" He looked around, he was home.

Kijinga was inside, resting peacefully and quietly, though of course without Tamu. Her head was low and facing the back of the den, while her body curved so her rump faced the mouth of their home.
As his voice reverberated against the walls of their cave, she was instantly shaken and awoke with a snarl. 'Who's--Oh...'
It wasn't the "Oh" that she made it seemed. It was, rather, the oh of excitement! Her mate was home, from where ever he had been--she was inevitably happy.
'Teleka...my dear.' she lifted, shaking her head and approaching him. Ringing her neck about his own, she soaked in his scent, though his fur was messy and cluttered with other smells as well. 'Where have you been? I've...missed you.' Her eyes fluttered, purrs echoing.
It had been a while, and sitting in his presence was exhilarating, but she couldn't reach the climax of her happiness, for his absence had put an indent in her idea of mates.
She was suspicious of his lingering...where had he been?
Tamu was on his way home after a hunt, and of course stumbled in to his parents love scene with a full gut, just ready to burst it all on the sandy grounds.
His throat cleared, having not seen his father since he was a cub, really so it seemed, and came towards the two willingly, eyes flitting across their forms. 'Father...Mother....I've come home.'

Teleka smiled as Kijinga came towards him.
"Oh how I have missed you as well." He rubbed against her, her scent like a beautiful perfume to him. "I was looking for Nyeupe. I haven't a clue where she is, I followed her scent out of the desert..." He cut off as he heard his son.
He was happy to see his son but some more alone time with Kijinga would have been nice, he had missed her so much and he would have liked some time to clean himself up. It didn't matter though, at least Tamu was still about and hadn't gone missing anywhere.
He couldn't help but give a laugh as his son spoke, "It seems two has returned today. I just wish your sister would." He sighed and rubbed against his mate a little more, feeling her against him was comforting and made him ever so happy. His love, his wonderful, wonderful mate.

Kijinga smiled and began to lick away at his pelt, cleaning away the dirt and grime, as well as attempting to nibble out the knots.
Tamu, on the other hand, was only slightly disgusted with his parents motions, and made it noticeable by his expression. 'Yes, I believe she's left the lands...though I am not so sure. I never had a chance to say goodbye.'
He smiled, coldly. Whether or not he liked to admit it, and even if Ny did not love him as a sibling should, he still felt forever a bond with her, a devotion and a sense of mutual love. He would never let this feeling go.
Kijinga turned to her son, stopping the licks for a moment to do so. 'Oh, Tamu'meka. I do know your sister has run off, to do whatever it is she wishes, but realize--she is older now, and she now has a life of her own. We can not forever watch over her, nor will she forever look to us for safety. She is growing, Tamu...not always do we get a chance to say good bye to those we love.' Her head rocked, thoughts of her mother distant in her mind...
For a while, Kijinga had even forgotten she had a mother--never even thinking of her siblings...they were all on their own...there was nothing she could do.
Flexing slightly, she commenced her gesture towards her mate, licking and preening his fur. Between her motions, she managed to speak, 'Tamu, go on and fetch yourself a good meal, or run to the lake--play with some lizards. Give your father and I some alone time.'
Tamu'meka was more then willing to leave, and with a polite, respectable nod, he jolted off. Maybe he'd find Azula...
Mean while, Kijinga butted her head against Teleka's, his thick fur covering her face, and engulfing her in the scent of a strong male.
'I've missed you Teleka...you did not find Nyeupe at all I presume? What a shame...I truly wish she could have told us of her leave...' her voice caught, the emotions of seeing her mate, and the loss of her daughter all welling up now. 'Does Ny hate us Teleka? Does our daughter hate us for loving her?

He shook his head, trying to help rid the knots, making worse instead though. He was listening though and smiled at his families words to each other. "I am sure she will come back." He hoped anyway.
Turning to look at Tamu again he chuckled as his son quite happily left the two alone, which to him was perfect, he had missed Kijinga, laying be her side, washing her, it was just normal things but he had missed them so dearly.
He was confused by her words though and he shook his head, "No Kijinga, she doesn't hate us. She has a very independant mind, she will come back, I am sure she will, she just needs time to be herself." He smiled at her and licked Kijinga's head.
There was something that he hadn't told Kijinga, but then maybe she already knew, Chomo, Nuri and family had gone about the same time Ny had and that was the only thing that seemed right in his mind. Ny had gone with her fathers worst enemy.

Kijinga sighed, rubbing into her mate and resting her head against his chest. Why were having kids this troublesome?
'I--only thought since she forever hated being around us...that...hate was all she knew. But, we always showed her kindness. I do not understand why she left. I simply do not understand.' She too, shook her head, a sense of sorrow glazing her eyes completely.
'Teleka...' her words broke the silence once more, as a gentle purr rumbled once again. 'I love you. I've missed you. How have you held up, looking for our daughter? Why did you not tell me? I would have gone with you...what if something had happened to you out there...I would not have forgiven myself...'

He smiled at her, "Ny doesn't hate us. I am sure of that." Or at least he was hoping.
He looked at her as she spoke again and smiled, "If you had come with me then who would have looked after Tamu?" He licked at her head and nuzzled her, "You would have felt even worse if something had happened to him and you were with me looking for Ny." He was being honest with her, he was fine anyway.

Kijinga nodded, though respectably felt that Tamu would have been able to hold his own. They had created a strong boy, as well as a strong girl...it was almost unfathomable that they couldn't care for themselves.
Yet, the motherly instinct kicked in, and she felt she would have, indubitably, felt horrid if something did happen to her young boy, whom of which she had favored of the two.
Kijinga rolled on her heels, and fell to her side, pawing at Teleka's face with kindness. 'Come, tell me of your journey then. Did you find any other lions about? Or were you all on your lonesome the entire time?'

Teleka smiled at his mate and thought about her question for a while before answering.
"I was alone for the whole time, I mostly avoided coming into contact with anyone else, if I slowed I would have lost her scent... not that I didn't but the lands outside the desert they are just so different, so odd." He smiled at his mate and licked at her.
"Its good to be home though, with you by my side." He smiled, letting out a purr like rumble. "Oh how I missed you Kijinga."

Kijinga, although a bit down at the fact that her mate wandered the lands alone, smiled and shimmied closer, tail thumping the earth.
'I see...well I feel the same Teleka...I just hope Ny comes home...I miss my family so much.'
Burying her head in Teleka's feet, she sighed heavily.

He licked her and chuckled, "Look on the bright side Kijinga, we are only missing Ny, you could have lost both Ny, Tamu and me." He went back to licking her, nuzzling her and everything he could to comfort her.
"We are here Kijinga and Ny will be again one day. I am sure of it." He just wanted her to be happy, he was home and yes he hadn't found Nyeupe but at least they were together, that was something to be happy about!

Kijinga nodded, agreeing. Why else should she worry now? Ny was older, whatever happened would happen. Plus, much like a traitor, Ny had left the lands so it seemed, and the only way Kijinga knew to go about it was through intervention. She would not think of Ny till she returned.
Then, she would be dealt with.
The lioness purred and rubbed her body against her mates, cooing gently. This was a perfect time to simply relax again, and so, she would. However, not by the dens--it held to many memories, this was for later. For now, they would head to the oasis.
'Teleka, let us go to where the water is fresh and the tree's tower above us. Not the forest, but those mirages. Let's go to the Oasis love.'

Teleka had never thought of 'dealing' with Ny when she got back as he would just be grateful for her returning but then, maybe things would change.
He was so happy right now, not much could ruin this moment.
Then her voice caught him, "Oasis? Sure." He smiled and shook his mane trying to straighten it out a little, he could do with a bath, so dirty! "Lead the way then my dear." He smiled, he knew the way of course but she was female, and females went first.

Curtly, the lioness smiled and brushed past her mate, moving casually out into the dunes, where the Oasis was to await them.
She hadn't walked long now, and yet her thirst clenched at her throat, and her body quivered with anxiety. She wanted water, and she wanted it now. The heat beamed on her placid, frail form; having been secluded in her den for days. Peering back, the lioness searched the sands for her mate before quickening her pace, and running to their destination.
'Teleka' she managed to holler, her voice hoarse and faint. 'Hurry, hurry!'

Teleka watched her curiously, he hadn't a clue where she was going and it confused him greatly. His brown eyes followed her bright pelt to the door where he heard her speak.
It didn't take long for him to follow he nudged her side gently to show that he was there for her.
