Khaliki wandered through the forest, as he usually did during the earlt morning hours. The lonely wolf was skinny and in need of a good wash, but he didn't seem to mind it at all. He searched around for his breakfast, wondering if in the cold weather there would be a nice little rabbit to munch on.
As his breath came out in puffs of smoke he wandered, dark, kind eyes searching the trees. He couldn't smell anything on the air, but that was normal for him, especially in colder times of the year. He took a few deep breaths, trying to rid his nose of teh chill in the air. He caught a faint scent of something, but couldn't make out what it was. He began to walk towards the smell, his steps heavy and not very quiet.

Duro had wandered away from his Mam, and was now facing the brittle cold, his little body shivering. Large, clumsy paws constantly tripped over himself, and his face was set in a small scowl. He didn't want to be stuck with his siblings.. But he didn't want to be cold, either. Hmmph. With a frustrated snort, he plopped down on his bum, and looked around, trying not to shiver too much, and the thick fur on his back helped.
The pup was new to the world, but he did know one thing. He didn't like the cold, not at all.

As Khal stumbled through the snow, he caught sight of a dark shape against the cold white of the snowy landscape. He cocked his head to the side and wandered towards the pup, in full view and not caring. He was hungry, cold and lonely, and he would have talked to anyone at that point.
"Hey there youngin', what're ya doin' out 'ere all by yer lonesome, eh?" He called as he walked, looking down at the small figure below him. Khal was a relatively large wolf, though his skinny hide made him look much smaller. "All these youngin's these days, wanderin' 'round where their little noses shouldn'a be." His accent was strange and thick, although sometimes it didn't even appear in his speech.

"Huh?" Duro frowned, and then glared as his yellow eyes found the source of that annoying noise.. A wolf. The pup had never seen any other wolf, besides his Mam, Daddy, and siblings. This one didn't look like any of them. "I' isn't none of your bizniss!" Duro barked out, showing off his fierce little puppy teeth.
The husky like pup stood up awkwardly, trying not to fall into any snow. Why did this wolf talk so weird? Mam didn't speak like that, neither did Daddy. "I'll beat you up reeeeal good, mister, if you come any closer!" Duro threatened, thinking he could beat up pretty much anyone, he was strong. Right?

Khal chuckled and shook his fuzzy head. "Ah, little pup, I don' wanna harm ye. I'm just wonderin' what a little one like yerself is doin' out 'ere all alone?" He laid down, trying to seem less threatening to the pup. His strange accent seemed to dissapear slowly as he continued to talk. When he was alone for too long that accent grew thick.
"Where are ya parents?" He asked, his head turning to one side thoughtfully.

Duro's forhead scrunched up as the old wolf laughed at him. Why did he laugh at him? Wait, little?! "Don'choo call me little!" He said, flustered. "I can do whate-v-ver I want." The pup was starting to shiver in the brisk cold, slurring his speech even more and making him stutter.
"Mam and Daddy aren't here." Duro said, simply, before glaring at him again.
