Here's a Gackt limerick I just wrote:

There once was a man called Gackt,
There wasn't one thing he lacked,
He could do anything,
And boy could he sing,
He's a hottie and that is a fact!

I'm currently writing a fan fiction inspired from The Crow and I'm using Gackt as one of the main characters in the story. These images are what drove me into wanting to write that story.

PRELUDE

In every different culture, there is a myth about one of the most mysterious creatures on the earth.
The story of the crows goes back to the beginnings of Earth’s coming.
When Earth was created, God sent his first crow to oversee the birth of humanity that will begin billions of years later.
It had seen the existence of the dinosaurs, the Stone Age, the Ice Age, and many other types of prehistoric events.
When the first humans first saw this Crow God, one family of every culture made a prophecy of the arrival of the Angelic Vendetta, a revenant constructed by God to declare war against an army of demonic souls that wish to take over the mortal world and the realm of the dead
To this day, the legends are passed down to every generation that one day the awakening of the Angelic Vendetta would come.

In Tokyo, Japan, the city was glistening with the brightest of all its lights. The crowds down on the streets were screaming with not only happiness, but also despair for even though the third millennium was beginning, many believed that the world would end at exactly midnight. The children began tossing confetti into the air as the winds gust into the packed streets, the teenagers drank their fills with the richest booze they could afford and smoke to their final minutes, and the adults began to pray for better days for the people in their homeland and the rest of the world.
One person, however, was not like the others who were standing waiting for the striking of Death’s bell. She was a young girl, maybe 14, who was waiting for someone or something as she held up a small origami in the shape of a black crow over her head. She was at least thirteen years old with dark gray eyes that would make one think of staring into the barrel of a gun, and amber hair that covered half of her back was put as a ponytail. Her small hand was raised towards the heavens as the clouds began to part.
“Mom, what’s happening?” the girl worriedly asked.
The mother was within her mid-thirties with her golden brown hair having a few remaining streaks of amber. Just like her daughter, she had gray eyes herself. The main difference about her eyes was that they had brightened to silver.
“Nothing is wrong, honey. We are just going to send a gift to our ancestors,” she answered with dire concern.
“Ancestors?” the girl asked again with a confused look.
“Ancestors are people who learned of the ways of the world before we even existed, Ryo. More specifically, they are the very people that were a part of our family. You must understand that we are not like other people in the world. We are preparing for a war that would determine if the living or the dead would rule Earth. Nobody will know until it is too late.”
“But can they be warned for the coming events?”
“They won’t believe whatever we say. They will think that we had gone mad and send us away to a very bad place.”
“Like a prison.”
“Yes, baby. Like a prison that we can never escape from. Look! It’s here!”
The mother pointed to the skies where a crow suddenly appeared from the opening that revealed the night sky. It soared towards the girl as it began to plunge towards the street she was hiding in with its talons exposed. In the light, its chest revealed a naked scar that resembled the shape of itself with its wings extended from the center of the chest to where the wings had started. It slowly decreased its speed by flapping its wings, then picked up Ryo’s origami, and flew away back to the skies.

In another part of the city within the confines of the alleys, two people slowly walked with a bottle of strawberry soda in one of their hands. Both were in their late twenties and were looking into a bright future as soon as New Year’s Day begins. The man had piercing brown eyes that were nearly covered by hanging strands of long dark hair, a figure of a genuine martial artist, and a sense of total awareness to the surroundings from the dimming lights that illuminated his dark clothes, the decaying walls that had the unusual graffiti from a violent gang, and the ground that was covered with food wrappers, paper cups, and newspapers that were months old. The woman had doe-like hazel eyes with one of them covered with a curtain of dark hair, a shape of a healthy young woman, and a lack of carelessness as her eyes tried to stay sharp in the narrow alley. They both were to be steady in the alley since it was territory for a gang that was festering anything that had their signatures on the walls.
“Tetsuya, I really have to tell you something very important. You know that we were friends since we both were kids, and we knew everything about each other. Do you think that it’s best to confess ourselves to each other before midnight? I mean, it could be the end of the world.”
“Yeah, but we might never now until then, Tsukiko,” Tetsuya said as he checked his watch, which read 11:38 PM.
“I need to say something to you before time’s up, you know? Look… we… have a lot in common, we are best friends, and… there’s just so much we both share.”
“Remember that day when you got teased by those popular girls?”
“Yeah, I do.”
“And they told you that you had a crush on me?”
“How did you know that?” Tsukiko asked with a bothered look on her face while she was trying to control a smirk.
“I was that guy in black on those Sundays when we both were juniors in high school.”
“You were that… Jesus, I just can’t believe it.”
“It’s kind of odd, isn’t it?”
“Yeah, and you never told me.”
“I’m so very sorry for doing that.”
“Hey, that’s cool, okay? I have to admit… that I… I…”
“Take your time, okay?”
“It’s just… you… I mean… I… I love you.”
“You do?”
“Yes.”
“I never said this either, but… I… love you, too.”
“After all of this, we fell for each other, but we couldn’t just say it.”
“I thought you were going out with another guy, so I backed off.”
“I did the same.”
"I never thought that this was the day we would say what’s on the top of our heads," Tetsuya said as he fiddled with the cap on the bottle of his soda with his right index finger and thumb twisting it back and forth.
Suddenly, Tsukiko began to move one of her hands over Tetsuya's left cheek, and her face began to close in on his. Then, when their faces touched, they began to kiss. They both dropped their bottles and the bottles shattered by their feet, spilling the ruby liquid around them to form into a puddle of sweet strawberry blood from the glass bodies that fell from their hands. Their faces parted and looked at each other.
"This could be our first and last kiss, Tetsuya. I want to be with you tonight."
"Hey, you want to stop at the Hotel Fuji? My parents invited your family to a party on the roof," Tetsuya asked.
“Okay.”
As Tsukiko and Tetsuya walked to leave the alley, several men and women stepped out of the shadows from behind and began to slowly tread toward the pair. Each had a weapon in their hands, either a gun, a knife, a simple tool, or anything that was makeshift. When they walked under the dim yellow lights, their black clothes were illuminated by those lights and they made the predators slowly creep up to their prey as if they were specters waiting to collect the bounty from the humans they stalked.
It took several minutes to head over to the hotel. When Tetsuya and Tsukiko got there, the building itself was a massive 90-level tower that could hold thousands of people. On the roof, lights were flashing in different colors as they both looked up. They held their hands and began to cross the street, with the people in black leather following them.
When the couple walked inside, the lobby was filled with South American ferns sitting at the corners of the room, bonsai on the tabletops, Samurai war paintings and photographic geisha portraits on the bleach white walls, and a statue of a man and a woman standing together with a crow perching on their joined hands. Their hands and faces were completely made from marble as contrast for the bodies that were molded from bronze as they both looked like two demons ready to rage war on whoever passed by them. Dangling from the crow’s neck was a sign that said in Japanese and English:

You may kiss the crow for good luck, but please wipe off when you are done.

They both took turns of kissing the crow by Tetsuya letting Tsukiko kiss it first then him. After the single kiss from each, they wiped of the crow with a disinfecting wipe that came from a dispenser on top of a small table that was a few feet away from the statue.
When they were done with their single kisses on the crow, they began to stroke the sides if its head in complete unison with Tetsuya’s left hand stroking its right side and Tsukiko’s right hand stroking its left side. They immediately flinched when they saw their hands moving at the exact moment as if they were in opposite sides of a mirror, but they still stroked the crow for the next two minutes.
Suddenly, when a businessman began to walk into the hotel, the scarred crow silently flew inside and perched on a lamp dangling over Tetsuya and Tsukiko. Its yellow eyes gazed curiously at the pair as they began to end their affection with the crow statue. As they began to head to an elevator, it cocked its head sideways. When Tetsuya and Ayaka got into the elevator, Tetsuya pressed a button that had “Roof Level” labeled on it. Before the doors closed, they caught a glimpse of the crow on the lamp, but then it disappeared as the doors start to close.
The people in the alley got to the side of the building where there was a security entry that was locked. However, one of them had a pair of tweezers that was filed down to needle points. As she began to fiddle with the tweezers, the door began to unlock very slowly. Once it did, the others began to creep inside the stairway. The woman then closed the door and locked it.
When Tetsuya and Tsukiko got to the roof, loud music was playing and people were standing around with their refreshments. It was odd to see that both of their families were up there, but it may seem like fate. They both walk to the stage that was set up for a concert for later, which had a clock on one of the front corners that said 11:45 PM.
Suddenly, something grabbed Tetsuo by the shoulder. He spun around and saw a man roughly in his early fifties.
“How are you this evening, son?” the man asked.
“Uh… just fine, Dad,” Tetsuo replied.
“I’m just so proud of you! I can’t believe that you’re performing tonight on this roof. People will be coming over to cheer for you two.”
Even with the words of praise, Tetsuya had a guilty face that was showing in the heavy flashes of light.
“Is something wrong?” Tetsuya’s father asked.
“Dad, I got something to tell you. I’m not just a musician. I’m also an underground vigilante.”
“WHAT?” Tetsuya’s mother yelled.
“Believe me, I didn’t kill anyone. Do you understand how those thugs got turned in?”
In the other end of the roof, Tsukiko was talking to her parents as well.
“Mom, Dad, I’m a vigilante.”
“What are you saying, dear?” Tsukiko’s mother asked.
“I capture criminals from the underground world on our streets without a badge.”
“What the devil?” Tsukiko’s father replied.
Suddenly, both families huddle up.
“Look, all we can say is we haven’t killed anyone!” said both Tetsuya and Tsukiko.
“But… you could’ve asked us to handle it. After all, we’re both cops,” said both fathers.
“I know, but sometimes natural justice has to be made by difference. How can you pursue it if you act with the law?” asked Tsukiko.
“It doesn’t matter if they’re vigilantes. All that matters is that they’re not hurt and that they haven’t killed anyone,” said Tetsuya’s mother.
“That’s right,” replied Tsukiko’s mother.
“Then why are we arguing? We should be celebrating,” explained Tetsuya’s father who was beginning to check his watch as it read 11:47 PM.
In the background, an old record began to play. It was a record from America that had the band called The Hangman’s Joke, and it began to play a song titled “Seven Circles.” On the front of the record’s cover, it had autographs, but a name that appeared in black marker stood out on the grayscale background:

Eric Draven

As the people on the roof prepare for the concert, the thugs from the street below began to slowly creep up the stairs. Each had their weapons drawn in case someone stumbled in their way.
Tetsuya began to tune his Fender guitar and tried to play a short tune while strumming the strings. While on a stool, Tsukiko began to play a short melody on her harmonica. The way she warbled was the way an elderly man would if he had that harmonica in his hands. On the stage, their microphone stands stood neatly polished. Tsukiko enjoyed having a 1950s-styled microphone because of her passion for American blues and jazz.
Suddenly, the PA said that the New Year was coming in ten minutes. That was when the thugs stormed the roof and began to restrain all of the people on there. Women and children were screaming while the men where trying to fight back. Tetsuya and Tsukiko where pulled away from the mass as the women and girls were getting beaten and raped by the male thugs and as the men and boys were getting tortured by the female thugs.
With five minutes left, a man came towards the pinned pair. He carried two Desert Eagles, each loaded with hollow point rounds in extended twenty-round magazines. He looked around as all the others were dying from the thugs, but smiled at the two survivors.
“So you’re the two that were ******** up my gang’s little game plans. You already had many locked away. You’re good for kids, you know? “
Tetsuya and Tsukiko looked down with tears in their eyes from the pain of watching their families die before them.
“Look at me, you shits!”
He lifted up their heads and saw the tears on their faces and began to lick them off of the faces.
“Mmmmm, best tears yet. I’m sorry for ruining your party, but you deserve your punishment.”
For four minutes, the man walked around to look at the mangled bodies that lay before him. He then turned to Tetsuya and Ayaka and cocked his pistols.
“Just a minute left now to go, pretties.”
The pair’s vision started to seem like they were seeing double as they looked at the man with platinum blond hair wearing black leather. They felt their bodies being constricted by the thugs behind them as they were being tugged to a ledge. Then, Tetsuo’s left hand and Tsukiko’s right hand where being bound by electrical tape as they held together.
“30 seconds. Be sure to tell your God that Michio and his beloved Razor Wings send their regards.”
The guns were pointed at both of their eyes for some strange reason. They saw the bullets in their chambers ready to fire.
People below were counting down.
Sweat and tears began to pour down from the pair’s faces.
Michio smiles from watching the two suffer from their loss..
Ten seconds.
Nine seconds.
Eight seconds.
Seven seconds.
Six seconds.
Five seconds.
Four seconds.
Three seconds.
Two seconds.
One second..
Suddenly, Michio fired and the bullets went through the pair’s eyes out to the back of their heads and the two fell backwards to the streets below while the people were screaming Happy New Year. They fell and hit the ground with a hard slam, and blood gushed from the bullet holes that used to be their eyes like fresh sorrow-filled tears.
After they hit the ground, the people slowly began to quiet down and give a long painful silence. Paramedics and police came to the fallen pair, and saw no chance of helping them. As a police helicopter flew over the hotel’s roof, all they saw was the bodies formed into the vicious emblem of the Razor Wings, which was a raven with bladelike ends at the wings, spikes on its head, and a sign carrying the name in Japanese that was being held by the raven’s talons.

Young Ryo then ran through the crowds to find Tetsuya and Tsukiko, and knelt in front of them. A man then ran to Sakura and picked her up by her hands as she began to cry. He was a man, an American, roughly in his 40s with glasses and long blond hair bound in a ponytail that dangled behind the collar of his long dark brown coat. His cold ice blue eyes were sparkling from the lights, but they had some worry and concern for what had happened. He looked at the girl and shook his head to her.
“Detective Hyland, what happened to Tsukiko and Tetsuya?” Ryo calmly asked with tears building up in her eyes.
“I don’t know, little angel.” Hyland then took out his cell phone and then called the police.
“This is Detective Steven Hyland. I got a couple that just got shot and dropped from the roof of the Fuji.”
A long pause then progressed.
“Yes, Commissioner Hojima. I’m there right now and I need a few people to check out the roof ASAP.”
Minutes later, a fleet of police cars and ambulances came to figure out what happened at the hotel, and discovered that everybody had died on that roof. No evidence was found except for a few casings lying near the blood-drenched bodies and small puddles of semen near the women.
While back on the street, Hyland was still looking at the bodies of the pair that lied down in front of him as the scarred crow.
“I hope they didn’t have to watch it all happen,” Hyland motioned to the perched crow as it ripped at the electrical tape, warbling angrily.
“I know they’ll wake again. It’s a question of when, right?”
The crow cawed, and then continued to rip at the tape.

THE CROW
ANGELIC VENDETTAS

PART 1
RESURRECTION

CHAPTER 1
TEN YEARS LATER

Ten years later, Tokyo became a decaying wasteland because of economic depression from trying to end the plague that was brought from the gang known as the Razor Wings, a group of outcasts that later then became a monstrous group that fed on the city like a parasite that survives by eating at the thing it lives on. The city had overhead walkways that stood over the tight traffic on the streets, but they were already marked with graffiti, spit craters, and drops of blood from fights from so long ago.
On one of the streets, a restored black Trans Am calmly cruised through the streaming traffic like nothing was happening. The hood had a silver sticker of an outline of a bird and it reflected some light from the buildings the car passed by. Inside the car, the neatly polished black leather shined as if it again came off of the production line decades ago.
Ryo, who grew up after a decade, was driving the Trans Am while listening to an underground radio station that was playing Joy Division’s “Komakino” and sang along with the lyrics in perfect unison. As she sang, the scarred crow was perched on her left shoulder so that it can watch out for other cars near Sakura’s own car. It didn’t mind listening to the music, but it had to be mindful about the road because of what might happen.
Ryo then parked into an old parking garage that had been closed up until her family received permission to watch over it, and it ultimately became her art workshop where the statue from the Hotel Fuji stood. There was also a stack of old newspapers that had some mysterious sightings that had to do with the world’s newest headlines about “Crow Killings”, a string of murders against criminals by men and women with black outfits and painted faces. Also, there was an engagement ring and a heart-shaped locket dangling from a necklace on a rusted nail that was hammered into a wall, a mime mask near them, and other items. Each one of them was unique to a certain Crow, a soul brought back from the grave to give exact revenge to those that wronged and corrupted that person’s fate, mainly a ghost wrapped in flesh and blood.
After a long day at working in the workshop for a while, Ryo went to a shower stall, took off her clothes, and began to wash herself. Even while washing, she still had bad memories about the deaths of her two best friends and the water that seemed to be on her then turned into their blood. She then went on her knees, began to cry, and let out a scared and saddened scream that echoed throughout the entire garage.
Minutes later, as the crow nibbled on a bit of leftover meat, Ryo was still lying on the floor with her entire front pressed against the tiles as her tears still mangled with the running water as she began to pray in Japanese. When she was done and dried off, she went to her bed while still wrapped in a towel and looked at two photos of Tetsuya and Tsukiko. Tetsuya’s had a cross in front of it, and Tsukiko’s had a small Buddha statue. Ryo thought that each would give protection to her as they watched over her from Heaven.
After several minutes of looking at the photos, she then got dressed and went to her car with a case of incense and a bouquet of roses. When she started the car, the crow perched on her hood ornament until she took off and the crow led her to the cemetery. When they arrived, almost every single grave was covered in tainted drugs and graffiti from those who used the cemetery as a party central. The only place that wasn’t vandalized was a fenced area with a group of graves that belonged to the Saki family and the Takeyama family.
Ryo unlocked the massive gate and walked inside towards the circle of graves that faced outward. In the center, there were two graves which belonged to Tetsuya and Tsukiko. She then kneeled down and began to talk about her events of the week just as she did when she visited their graves once a week. When she was done, she placed six roses on each of the two graves and lit incense for the others. When she was done, she got her stuff then went to the gate just as the scarred crow landed between the two graves, cawing and warbling in sadness.
“They didn’t have to suffer like that,” Ryo said as she began to look for her keychain in her jacket pockets.
“I know, young one,” the crow replied telepathically.
“I wish that something could’ve been done. Could it be possible to bring them back?”
“Let me deal with that, but first I’ll need approval.”
Then the crow flew to the skies and disappeared as Ryo left the graves and went to her car and drove off into the city.

Deep within the old underground tunnels of the city, foundation columns and walls were covered in graffiti and torn posters as a bunch of skateboarders ruled the asphalt jungle. Puffy AmiYumi’s “Destruction Pancake” echoed through the tunnels as the boarders performed their tricks in their own skate park. Loops, pipes, ramps, rails, and other obstacles were installed by professional crafters that were secretly hired by the Razor Wings, which meant that the underground park as a part of their turf.
Normally, Ryo never wanted to head to a place like that, but it’s the only place where she can get information on whoever was running the show and pulling the strings of the Razor Wings. She had her own skateboard, which was custom made with a drawing she came up with in the familiar anime style. The character had long dark hair, a tragedy mask that was painted on the face face, and was in full black from top to bottom. The wheels had the color of midnight black that blended perfectly in the dark, which made the board look like it was floating above the ground instead of just rolling across it. Ryo never mentioned her real name to any of the other skaters, so she assumed the role of a girl named Nana Shimabuku, her alias in Tokyo’s underground. Unlike the other skaters, Nana’s got a thing for having one-on-one skating jousts with the guy skaters, so Ryo had to practice at home by clearing the garage and learn how to joust with a dummy that stood in the middle of the clearing.
Jousting became a unique gathering for the underground skaters as they circle around the pair that began to fight. They could use just about anything as a weapon, just as long as it doesn’t kill a person.
