 Name: Hanabishi Kajiba
Age 17
Date of Birth: July 21
Height: 5'9"
Rank: Genin
Village: Konoha
Clan: Hanabishi
Bloodline: Tesabaki no Kaen - This bloodline allows Kajiba to have a greater amount of control over fire, whether it be the intensity of the flames, or the color of them. Color has no affect, as to what the fire does. The active form of this bloodline ignites his fists, allowing him to add some damage to fist-based taijutsu attacks.
Personality: Kajiba is fairly laid back at times, and he tends to be a little distant or quiet around those he’s not familiar with. He’s pretty bright, but he doesn’t really have as much common sense as he should. However, he’s fairly trustworthy, and he can be pretty excitable depending on the circumstance or who’s he’s around. And normally, it can take quite a bit to get him very angry. Though, one quick way of angering him would be to talk down upon either his family or friends. Depending on how bad the insult is, he might explode right away, or later on if it keeps up. In either case, he will restrain himself from lashing out at the verbal attacker, unless he or she makes some sort of move that can either harm him or someone he’s close to. He also happens to be a pyromaniac, and would more or less stop and stare if there happens to be fire in the area... even if that fire happens to be from an attack heading straigt at him.
History: During his academy years, Kajiba did fairly well as a student. He wasn't the greatest with genjutsu, but he specialised more in taijutsu and ninjutsu. As for his skills in weaponry, he never had that great of an aim for the long distance weapons, and he preferred melee weapons much more. If he can, he plans on using a short sword sometime in the future. For the most part, nothing that big happened during these years.
One of the biggest parts of his childhood, however, would have to be the fire that occurred when he was around six years old. It was in the middle of the day, while his father, Hinote, was out on a mission, and his mother, Ayumi, was out in the garden, tending to the vegetables before dinner. The boy had somehow gotten a hold of some matches, which is really something not really good for a little boy to be playing around with. After messing around with the sticks, he accidentally dropped a lit match onto a scroll he was studying at the time. The dry parchment easily went up in flames. And it didn’t take too long before the rather dry tatami mat it sat on to start to ignite as well. Kajiba did what he could to stop the slowly growing blaze, by throwing a cup of what he thought was water onto the fire. Unfortunately, it was a cup filled with clear cooking oil that his mother was going to use later on.
With that, it really wasn’t too long before the fire began to get out of control. And to make matters worse, some of the flames had reached the room where a few of the smaller fireworks were kept. The good thing was that by now, Ayumi had realized that something was really wrong. Knowing her son was in the burning house, she rushed in to try and find him. Sure enough, she saw him, surrounded by the flames, and from the cracking noises from above, it seemed that a part of the ceiling was about to come down.
Quickly, she rushed forward and swiped him away just as a wooden beacon slammed into the ground. A part of that wood still managed to hit Kajiba, giving him that scar on his back that he still has today. That, however, was the worse of the injuries either of them received.
What was strange though, was the fact that Kajiba didn’t end up fearing fire for the rest of his life after this near-death experience. As some bizarre way of coping, he ended up loving fire. A lot. In any case, it took a little while before his family trusted him with matches, lighters, or anything else that could start a fire, but he’s more careful with what he does now, even if he still likes to burn things.
