Sooo... background info: There's this girl, M, whom I was friends with like Freshmen and Sophomore year of high school. Junior year in high school we became progressively less and less friends and more and more frenemies. Lots of blog drama lots of other crazy s**t. (Example: she bitches about all stuff - I point out it's a side effect of more then one of the five medications she's taking - then she bitched at me. How I was a bad time because I had a preference for spending time with my lover over my girlfriends. The list goes on. Apparently my faults are numerous.)
Information Theory. If the information content is 0 then the probability of that information is high. (Example: a kid is starring longingly at ice cream, it's only a matter of time before they'll ask for some.) If information content is 1 it means there was a very low probability of that happening. (Example: peace in the mid east. Who believes it'll happen, honestly?)
My journal has been open for public reading but screened comments. Except for hers, I recently banned her from commenting on my LJ because she dragged such a load of emotive drama on it that other people were scared to post in entries that intelligent comments would have been really appreciated in. So she can't post on my LJ.
Recent drama: So I mentioned her in a meme where I said, "I solved cryptograms about two months ago in minutes - using an online cryptogram solver. The information content was ~ 0." (Which it was, it was a flowery rehash of the same old drama she's been angsting about at least once a month since freshmen year in HS.) Key points: I did not mention her in the meme by name except to tag her to do the meme, a bad idea and only done because I was running out of names of people on my Flist who do memes.
So she posts this "declaration" on her own LJ about how she's sick of my lack of respect, how she doesn't know what went wrong with our friendship (now THAT is a really long story) and how, get this, she's going to "drop by [my house] unannounced" presumably over the summer to talk about all this. The tone of all this "declaration" was pretty hostile.
So I'm a little unnerved by this. Chris, my boyfriend, is of the opinion that if she shows up and wants to start something that I should call him and he'll throw the girl's a** out. (God bless the straight forwardness of men.) Mom's also unnerved by this- she pointed out that on top of her meds the girl's in group therapy for the first time so tons of negative emotional crap is floating to the surface, so we're talking about someone who's very angry, and therefore not very rational.
So what Mom advised me to do was make my LJ friends only (the girl, M, isn't on my Flist). God only knows why I'm still on her Flist, all my LJ does is piss her off it seems. On the theory that if M really can't read it it's out of sight and out of mind.
It makes sense. Of course it does. I'm just not happy about it. (So can someone with an F only blog tell me that it'll be ok and F onlying it's a really good idea? Purdy please?)

I'm always all for f-o. I can't imagine going back to public because there are too many random people who could see things.
I think this situation kinda, I dunno, warrants it big time.

All, but one of my entrys is friends only actually. I think a public Journal is a bad idea anyway.
