The blackness that had appeared on his nose was spreading as tried to itch the unpleasant sensation spreading in his face. He could feel it in his mouth, too, like he was being forced to smile and that's what it would have appeared to James.
Jordan tried pulling his hands back, but in his current state that was difficult. There was more pain. It ignited in his feet and in his spine and in his ears. Burning pain that was the only warning to the oncoming changes.
"I don't need your help!" he shouted in frustration, knocking the glass of water away. "Mind your own business!"
The world was spinning. Lack of sleep was not helping this painful transition at all.

James carefully grabbed Jordan's face and looked him in the eye. "You are going to kill yourself if I don't help you. NOW PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!" James shouted back. As he let go he got up and picked the glass up. He turned to set it by the sink. "You don't have a choice none of us do. Now get over it. You are turning into a crature like the rest of us so you might as well make the best of it now drink this before you pass out." James handed him another glass of water.

He was astonished James grabbed him by the face and yelled back at him. That - at least- silenced his protests for the moment. Jordan slumped against the wall and allowed himself to slide onto his rear, promptly yelping again as he fell forward onto his knees.
He tried looking back to see what was happening. The pain of his nose compressing slightly diverted his attention back to his face. He touched at it with the bandaged hands, staring intently at his hands.
"This is really happening.. I fought to prevent it. I thought if I stayed indoors it wouldn't happen to me as well..."
Tears began to stroll down his cheeks alongside the perspiration. The pain in his rear was stinging like a hot poker thrusting from his spine. He grit his teeth and bit his lip. His canines had grown longer as well.
Jordan looked up pleading to James who brought him another glass of water. He was crying as he took stock of the situation. His life was changed forever. There would be no going back to the mainlands. There would be no resuming his previous life.
"Make the pain stop! Please! Make it stop!" he pleaded as his spine extended outward and curled upward.

"Will you calm down? You're acting like a child." He moved Jordan to the bed lieing face down. "Your animal probably has a tail that you are sitting on." James handed him some asprin hoping it would help after noting he haden't drunk the water yet. He was trying but there wasn't much else he could do at this point.

As he was helped to the bed, he kicked off his shoes while he had the chance, using each foot to release the other's shoe. That aleved some of the painful pressure in his feet, but he was still horrified to see his toenails pushing through his socks.
It hurt more than anything he could remember. A tail.. had just pushed through his body, a new outward extension of his spine.
He smacked his head into the pillow, biting his lip again. His cheeks itched. White hairs were pushing through in the area of his cheeks. The same itchyness was present in his forarms, feet, and ears. Oh his ears, they were aching as he gritted his teeth more. It felt like they were being pulled on. Technically, correct. His ears were both elongating in rounded tips as they rose up the side of his head to rest ontop of his head.
Jordan stared horrified at the white hairs that were pushing through his folicles.

James sat in a chair and waited for it to calm down. "There is nothing left for me to do. You just have to wait it out now. I'm sorry I can't help more."

He glanced over at James and those callous words, but he was correct. There was nothign more he could do.
"Thank you..." he swallowed his pride to utter those words in a moment of weakness. Jordan was stronger than this. Why did he have to breakdown in the presence of another, especially someone who'd already gone through their initial change.
It moved. His tail moved on its own as the bits of fur had grown in, leaving him mostly human looking with the exception of canine ears, a blackened nose, a slight upturned smile which he could not help, thicker fingernails and toenails or the beginnings of claws.
His eyes fluttered. His body was going limp. The exertion, both mental and physical, had forcing him into a passed-out slumber.

James got up. "I'll go get something for us to eat. You rest." James turned the thermostat off so it would be a little warmer. He walked out and closed the door behind him to go to the caf.
