reheatedmacandcheese28 Cutting is bad. neutral Is the person cutting actually your friend, or your friends friend? Well, she's a friend but she's not really close. Thanks for the advice, everyone.

i have many friends that cut and i know that most of the time it is to release the pain of something else by creating a pain you can control. if this friend of yours isn't coming out and saying that she cuts then this might be why. most of the people who cut may not say at first, but dont spread the word, cause someone's gonna open their big mouth and say something to her. also if it gets worse, aproach her in a quiet area with no people there

I just want to say..the first person that gave advice..in most cases..please don't listen to people like him >_< No offense at all to him...he's probably an incredible guy..but when things got involved for my parents it made me seem like i had died inside...then got resurected...and then got slaughtered again.
Not a fun feeling.
People that cut for attention...oye..i want to SO BADLY say should die...but i won't-_- They should all be placed in a massive dirt hole and have mesh placed on top! biggrin They can all compare cuts together without being a idiot to society.
She sounds like me..i didn't cut everday. I usually cut only when something bad happened..when my parents got mad or some tragic event occured. She just needs to learn another coping mechanism. *sp?* Easier said than done...
Help your friend to find her best friend something to do when she feels like cutting. Something to fall back on...like a safty net.

my friend was thinking about cutting so i told her i was going to check her wrists. when she started i told her that i didnt want anything more to happen with her and that she needed to stop and that i really cared about her. telling her how i felt really helped. she cut for about a week or two and thought about suicide. i told her i couldnt handle to loose her and that i needed her and cared about her. it really helped her and she is not so depressed all the time! try telling her how you feel!

to tell you the truth as much as it might make your friendship a little irritated the best you can do is to tell an adult. a school will do something. this behavior is unacceptable and she needs help. either or she needs therapy. sometimes telling an adult is the best you can do. no one can match a therapists' advice and this is what she needs before this cutting gets out of hand. she may thank you in the end.

cutting is never not a big deal, best thing to do would be to get her help sooner rather than later, thing is, it may not be very big now but what if she does go thru something really bad? she may try to release more pain and critically hurt herself.
