Ho'kay, so. I've probably ranted about it (to an extent) but I'm going to do some background explaining and story telling and all that fun stuff.
So I'm a senior in highschool. Yay. BUT my school is retarded, like so many others, except probably moreso. Y'see, we're the only school in the immediate area that does a Senior Project. For the people who don't know what it is, it's...well, it's a couple of things. It:
1. is an 8-10 page argumentative paperon your choice of a topic, for the first half of the year.
2. is 15-40 hours of instructed and supervised field work regarding in some way to the paper. All hours, reciepts, documentations, photos, et cetera must be logged and saved in a portfolio.
3. determines whether or not I graduate.
4. is a load of bull that is often BS'd by many of the seniors at my school.
Overall, it's a load of important work to make sure seniors do not catch and maintain Senioritis all year long.
So this long report of mine is due tomorrow.
And I actually have it done. Have had it done for a while now. And that fact makes me warm and fuzzy inside, because that's the only thing that's keeping me at school tomorrow.
Since it's Thanksgiving week, normally we get Thursday and Friday off, giving us a much needed 4-day weekend filled with food. But our school decided to give us Wednesday off for whatever reason, along with a half day tomorrow. So we basically go to school for 1.5 days this week.
1.5 days.
Now because of this, the teachers have no incentive to teach, only to have it forgotten by the time Monday comes around. So it's basically Chill Week. For me. And I'm happy.

Wednesday = Non-Instructional day for me <33
&& My school day is basically half a day because the last half of the day is a school dance <3
&& Project sounds super sucky. -would fail it- ninja
&& My week consists of Gaia -has no life-
&& Potatoes are NASTY

HATE.
We have a JR and SR paper.
8-10-29 pages depending on the teacher.
Noot fun normaly, But I just happened to have a real PAIN IN MY a** as my teacher, So we HAVE to do a book we read in class wile all the other people can pick any book they please.
WTF!?!?!?
Not faiiir.
+ W onley have 2.5 days this weak because we are special. But insted of lighting up are teachers are giving us MASSIVE HW OF DUMB!!
I hate JR year soo much right now.

I don't do senior projects, but I've heard of them before.
Tomorrow's my last day of school before we start our vacation on wednesday.

My school has SR projects, too.
Last year they told us that by the time I'm a senior, which will be in about three years, I'm a Freshman now, it will be much harder. D:
And my vacation technically started on Friday. I don't have any school this week.

My state did away with the senior project thing last year. Instead, now we have to have a portfolio with all this stuff in it from all four years.

Ezzy's Thanksgiving break starts... tomorrow. ;_; She must go to class, then empty out her dorm room, unplug everything, finish packing, etc...
Course, I gotta do laundry, but the machines are in use. *fists of rage at neighbor using laundry machine*

I have school everyday next week... but I don't have Friday classes this semester... so technically it's the same for me

I had something stupid like that for my electronics class...
I copy/pasted someone's stuff from a website, documented it on the report, and turned it in...
I got a C on the paper... I did nothing, and I said I did nothing... All I did was say "I got this from so-and-so..."
n_n
But seriously, I usually do stuff better than that... I will write out papers, even if they are distasteful... I just did that because I had such a high grade in that class, I could have just not shown up for half the year and still would have gotten an "A"... Three year course, and I did probably about 1 and 2/3 of a year in the first year... o.o
And it's not like I said that the work was mine... o.O( )
