That right there is a basic overview of Gibson guitars. They've recently imposed some self-gratificating policy on guitar stores that makes them hard to deal with, so a lot of places have stopped caring about dealing Gibsons. They're a stuck up company, anyway.
At least Fender has a little bit of modesty.
yeah..my store would like to carry Gibson and Epiphone more or less for the Epis. but the fact is the figures look a bit like this:
Gibson : $150,000.00 Buy in
We used to carry Fender but dropped them cause of the demand was way low on them
Fender :$90,000.00
But dont forget big companys like Musicians Friend and Guitar center is what is putting out mom and pop stores. Not to mention Gibson and Fenders are being sold like mad at those locations, so lets go where the money is right! Wrong for us..good for them.
