Kai's Theme itself from the series is really good but short :/ So going by his personality itself I would go with American groups like Linkin Park, Within Temptations, My Chemical Romance, Good Charlotte, or any other bands in rock or metal.
For Japanese Artists like Gackt, Miyayi (sp?), Nightmare, or hard metal jrock groups can fit too.

Besides the japanese songs for kai ther is also a guitar solo thing he has as a theme. which is really cool. as for a theme, i have head many of them for kai. such as "Reckless Fire" from S-cry-Ed, "Deep end" by crossfade, "no giving up" by crossfade, "Break stuff" by limp biskit, "Faint" by linkin park, I even found one that was "Shut me up" by MSI (mindless self indulgence), "Headstrong" by Trapt, "Animal I have become" by three days grace. Thoses are all interesting ones i found that i liked. ^-^
