im about lv 17 and still got my brother hood armor because i looks good, looks cool and its the best i have because i havent been looking for any and it helps out most of my major skills (except 1) is it good for a assasin classe
i also use the speaker hood

the full speaker or normal kit is good and very goot for thieves and stealth people but i only use it on mission oterh wise it has to be my full dwarven for a 11th lv chara

Id say the shrouded armor is pretty good for basic people but if you have the robes its basiclly and upgraded version but if you like armor just wear it.

ha, i use shrouded armor and i'm like about lvl 20, i can't repair it cause i'm not good in armorer skill crying so yeah, speaker armor!? never heard of it. well i don't have any real armor except some stuff i enchanted at the arcane university.

ya get speakre armour after beating ALL dark brotherhood missions it looks more like a robe than armour and has incrases bonuses than the shrouded one^^ tis good

huh, i beat all the quests, but its not in inventory sweatdrop
dont tell me it was in the night mothers crypt and i forgot it!

you are given it when you are promoted to speaker i think
(can't remmber properly and my save near then has been deleated so i can't go back and check, sorry)

you get it after you go to the old ladys house to prof that the guy dwasent the trator but you get there to late and hes dead so they make you in to speaker
(i know not very helpfull)
