I realise this is really late notice but I really need help. My school has a few Transexuals but none of them are really open about it. The one girl, even her best friends think she's a guy. But I'm friends with quite a few transexuals and I really want to defend them. As such I'm planning on dressing in drag at school tomorrow (I'm a girl). As such I have two questions:

First, do I seem like a snot or snob or poser or anything for doing this when in fact I am not a transexual? Cause I really don't want to offend anyone.

Secondly, if anyone has any tips for dressing in drag please please please help me. I had a drag king who was supposed to help me out but something came up and now I'm on my own. That's why this is so late notice, I didn't find out until today that I no longer had someone to help me. I'm a very feminine girl (big boobs, big hips and feminine facial features) and as such need a lot of help.

So as you can see I would greatly appreciate any help anyone has on this matter. Thanks a ton!

I wouldn't be offended, and if anyone seems to be offended you should explain why you're dressing as a male to them.

You should wear baggy clothes (with horizontal stripes).

Thanks. I've managed to bind myself tight enough that I come off as an a-cup so with baggy clothing it should work well. I'm probably going to wear my work overalls, they're nice and baggy. But why horizontal stripes? And any other outfit tips would be great.

Any advice on how to make my face look less fem? I'm a costume make-up artist so I should hopefully be able to do it.

Thanks

P.S. I have a whole new respect for drag kings now.

Well I'm going to mention the obious! buy a wig that looks like a guy's hair or tie your hair in a bun and wear a hat.

Maybe you can try to put on a sort of mustach and make you face look a bit more though if you know what I mean. Maybe put on a face nose or something to lessen the more fine femenin details.

Horixontal strips can make you look wider and more flat. Unless you have a bit of a belly, then you migh want to use vertical stripes to even out your body. Guys tend to have a very square body shape.

As for make-up, it'd kind of depend on your face shape. If your face shape is angular, you might try some lighter colour on your cheeks, and try to mute the cheek bones a bit. And maybe add some highlights on the eyebrow bridge area? I'm not really sure. xD

Wow, this is really late!

I've attemtped a few times, just because I think its fun some days to see how long it takes someone to recognize me and then see how long it takes the to realize that my boobs are gone! sweatdrop

Basically sports bras work great for binding and then you can go at that with duct tape or ace bandages. But be ready for pain--if they're big it's gonna take alot to cover them up and they don't like being restrained for long (why do you think the tight guys jeans are now out of style?)

As for clothes--go with something classic. Restaurants require mens shirts in their uniforms for a reason--it's unisex and makes everyone look the same (and it REALLY hides curves), so I would suggest going for some kind of suit and jacket snaz--maybe find a cool gangster hat to top it off and play around a bit.

The face is tricky because it is our main distinguishing feature. My suggestion would be to find some concealer that is a few shades darker than you usually use to change the appearance that much more--and the comment about facial hair was a good one. Give yourself a moustache or soul patch to throw them off even more. Also try to accent your chin and cheek bones--those are our sexes major differences.

Good luck in your quest and know that this Alaskan salutes you in your quest! pirate

Has Saknika posted those images of me in drag from this Halloween yet?

I can't help but feel that the appropriate follow-up post would be: "Not that I know of, and should we be scared?"

But the actual appropriate follow up post is:

Not yet, and she'd better do it soon >.<

It went okay. Most people seemed to miss the bigger picture but...well you win some you lose some. A lot of people thought I was doing it just for attention...

I know this is late, but maybe it will help next time you do something like this. This is from the Drag Show that one of my schools puts on every year.

UE PRIDE Drag Show Tricks of the Trade

Scroll down a bit until you see 'tricks of the trade'. They really do work.

Also, try to get other people to join in with you.

((this is late)) I don't think you'd seem like a poser, and my advice to you is to tell people you're trying to promote trans genders. And i agree with most everybody, 'cause baggy clothes would be best.
