*~A Fallen Angels Prayer~*
Fell from heaven without a sound
Silently screamed as she hit the ground
The demons tried to drag her down
But to the light she was bound
Her wings scared, her soul tainted
From the darkness she became jaded
Her true colors so many hated
Still she smiled as she patiently waited
“I know some day he’ll come to my side.”
“I know some day he’ll save my life.”
“I know some day he’ll make this right.”
“I know some day he’ll bring a dawn to this endless night.”
Day after day the tears kept pouring
In her sadness she seemed to have been drowning
Her path was so unclear.. so confusing
But her last bit of hope kept this fallen angel from fading
“I want to live again, nothing like the dead.”
“I want to be able to express these feelings prowling in my head.”
“I want to be known for who I truly am.”
“I want someone to be there for me.. till the end.”
Taking one deep breathe, she made herself believe
There’s more to love, that what the eye can see
The soul is meant to be happy, to be free
If love keeps you captive, its something you don’t need
No longer feeling guilt for the past
This angels hope grew strong and fast
The memories can’t be erased.. though the pain will never last
Her soul began to heal.. instead of turning into ash
“There’s no telling where my life will now lead.”
“Though now more than ever I need you here with me.”
“I hope both the good times and the bad made you see.”
“Maybe.. just maybe.. we were truly meant to be.”
