They'd had another falling out, and Ausi was furious. How dare she! Ausi never thought her weaker half was so capable of being devious and manipulative. If she hadn't been so pissed off she might've even been proud, but no.
Tai had no right making that decision for both of them. First influencing Ausi with her own feelings on the matter of joining the pride, then while Ausi was sleeping taking on a Nanny position? Ausi AHBORED children! She wanted nothing to do with them unless it involved some gain for her. To think that she had been going easy on her sentimental half, well that two-timing little snake didn't deserve what very little kindness Ausi had to offer. She'd show her.
In hindsight, seeking out Red for retribution was likely not the wisest choice of action. She ran the risk of making things worse for herself in doing this, but it wasn't likely to stop the female from commiting the act she was about to proceed with. She could still remember the shame and the embarassment Tai felt the last time Ausi had mated the blue stranger, willingly of course, but oh how Tai hated feeling used, hated feeling as though others saw her as easy. That seemed a very fitting punishment, and a good way for Ausi to vent some of her own frustration as well. She was certain that Red would agree and be willing to inflict a bit of inner suffering on his other half as well.
The watering hole, that's where she'd find him.
The lioness stalked slowly towards the glowing body of water, eyes scanning for the familiar dark pelt of Na'be and Red.

Red was at the waterhole as usual, reclining under the stars which were the only company he seemed to have these days. He had surrendered the daytime to Na in favour of an easy life and a place to stay for now. No one would bother with Na calling the pride lands home, Red however, if he was the dominant personality, probably would have been kicked out by now. Such was the way things went, he supposed. Still, despite this relative boredom Red was on edge somewhat, Na had been having increasingly intense dreams about his father, as though he was very nearby and plotting something. He couldn't afford to die now, not when he had found somewhere to hide.
He rolled over onto his back with a deep sigh and a casual stretch of his paws, he let himself slide into the casual wash of his thoughts. He needed something to occupy himself, to ease the tension and worry he felt, and it wasn't as if he could go torment Palesa, the green female hadn't been around in ages.

Ah, there he was, like a good predictable man should be. Her fix.
The ghost approached on silent paws, moving into a stride more befitting the stealth of a natural born huntress. Hoping to get the jump on him she waited until she got as close as the edge of the grasses surrounding the shores of the watering hole before speaking.
"Well, Red, don't you look positively bored?"
At which point she emerged, slipping free of the foilage to come up alongside her kindred spirit.

Red, as on edge as he was, visibly tensed at the voice so nearby, at least he tensed until he caught on that he knew the voice, then he relaxed again, trying to look as though he wasn't phased by being caught so off-guard. He glanced at her as she padded up alongside, his usual smirk curving across his muzzle as she did so.
"If I look it then it's right. These lands might be just dandy for Na but they are a boring level of hell for me."

"I can certainly relate to that. If it weren't such a haeven from the stupid I would have left quite some time ago... I was convinced to stay, however. Lucky for you, you get to enjoy my company for a bit longer it seems."
The reply came as smoothly as all the others before it, and the female eased down to lay beside him.
