I asked my teacher where I should be Sophmore year and he was like.... "Meh, just be an Alto 1...." .... My tone is Alto, but I've sung the Soprano 1 part for this one song where there was only like 1 real soprano who could hit it...so I had to de-alto for a song to help her (them) out... We fit into sections based on our voice tone really, sure range is a factor, but what you sound good singing as is important..... I can also sing tenor (which the altos did for a few songs), but as I've said before, Mr. S. does such a good job at pickign songs that are like level 5s and 6s (Universities do stuff like that or less hard) where it maximises the sections abilities to where there is little cross over in the parts (not necissarily the harmonies, but the sections)....

There a girl that graduated this year, she was quad-sectional? She could go anywhere, I mean anywhere. If we were short Bass, she went there, but if we needed more Soprano, she did that too! Shes sooooo amazing. heart
She should be in the Opera. But I think shes better off in Shot Put in the Olympics whee

I've always been a soprano 1, but in my chest voice, I could probably sing bass. xP When I was planning to go to the school my uncle directs at, he wanted to put me as an alto, but I'm a first soprano at heart. <3

Last year I was an alto 2 but my choir director put me in soprano 2 this year. I was the only alto that got moved to soprano while three sopranos got moved to alto. Well, it'll be a new challenge. I've never sung soprano before.

I am a Bass II in choir, but sometimes have to sing baritone or even tenor... Soloisticaly I am a Baritone, so I can hit solid E naturals on a piano dynamic. Anything above that comes in either forte or above in choral dynamics

I'm an alto 2 but can sing the tenor part. But we don't do that, for some stupid reason. I sing tenor really well too! I fit right in there.

I am bisectional err sorta. I am kinda in the middle. I can sing Baritone and Second Tenor buy Bass is too low and First Tenor is to high.

I guess I could be bisectional...
I've only sung Alto in chorus...Alto II if the part splits.
But I could handle many tenor lines easily...sometimes tenor is my preferred line. >_< Some of my guy friends formed a little a capella quartet for a church talent show. All of the voices except for the lead were also in jazz band with me. They wanted to sing at one of the casual performances where there was no competition involved and they asked me to be the "fourth man". So for ten minutes, I was singing lead for them in a quick rehearsal with the tenor and bass. We never did have the chance to perform but I did prove that I could hold my own with the guys.
Whenever I sing at karaoke, my selection is almost ALWAYS a song that was performed by a male recording artist.

ok, that's hard to answer.
According to my voice teacher, I'm a soprano now. (My lower registure is slowly depleting and my upper registure has jumped another octave or so)
And yeah, I'm biisectional. I'm a supposed to be soprano but I sing alto is all my choirs (for balance issues) and sing tenor, alto, and soprano (whatever is needed or looks most fun) in Church choir.

I'm Tri-sectional
Alto, soprano 1 and 2, and tenor.
I sng alto and Tenor the best and since our Choir is small I sing soprano when Im needed ^_^
