I want to barter my webdesign skills for some parts for one of my vehicles from a regional parts chain. They currently do not have a website and I am interested in approaching them on this through e-mail. Has anyone ever done this and have any clues on to how to approach that. I have always been contacted through word of mouth so this is a new approach for me.
Thank you,
I appreciate it.

I've never offered my services through email (or in any other way for that matter...) but in general I've found that people find it very easy to ignore emails. I have a friend who can go into a store and come out with a deal to make a site for them, an offer for a job in the store, and make friends with the managers xd I don't think I'd be able to do that to that extent, but if you just go in and chat to see if they're interested, it would be probably more effective than email. Good luck!
