It's crazy enough that it just might work....

MAybe instead of just having the head people judge everyone in the guild who wants to by a certain date can cast a vote, but they can not vote for there own entry. That way you could have the opinion of everyone in the guild. If a few are tied just have a re vote narrowing it down and so on and so forth.
