Jahzara smiled at Kami genuinely greatful to the other lioness for her hospitality. Jaz had always believed herself a princess, and acted like a spoiled one, and yet, having been sick and lost so much of herself, a bit of kindness was not lost on her. Besides family was family, right? "I thank you." Bowing her head slightly, the golden lioness stood up, slightly shaky still from having stumbled and fallen back, as well as from the illness she'd gone through. It would be a while before her strength fully returned, but she wasn't completely invalid. Turning around, she rubbed the offended tail she had landed on, she nodded to Kami, ready to head forward.
"I take it, you haven't seen any of my family in a while?" A lame comment, but the closest she could offer to small talk for the walk.

-She watched softly, but despite a few wobbles and falters, the golden lioness seemed well enough in her step, and softly Kami took up the lead instead, pulling herself just a step or so ahead. It was easier to talk when you didn't have to look at the other person, something Kami had learned early on.
And though Jazhara wasn't necessarily scary, or that intimidating, Kami fell into her comfort anyway now that she was ahead, letting her words flow a little more freely.- "I'm afraid I haven't really.. The last I saw of them was when I was only a child. When they headed back off to the Firekin lands."
-Shruging her shoulders gently, she added lightly.- "However... I did do quite a bit of traveling with my father, and then a little on my own not long ago. So it's possible I just missed them?" -Lame perhaps, but hope was always a good thing. Kami knew how painful it was to lose parents now... and with most of her family scattered.. she wouldn't wish that on anyone. Let alone this piece of family that had been thrown her way.-

Jahzara nodded, contemplating this information. It was possible they'd come back and left again, if they'd been travelling for some time. And with the vast size of the pridelands, it was likely that some of her siblings could be hiding without knowledge of their presence. It was surely a miracle Kami had come upon her, as she'd been in the pridelands, but more towards the outskirts than anything, and had hardly seen a soul that she could remember, during her illness.
"I... appreciate your hospitality and willingness to guide me home..." She was nervous, using the word home, but surely that's what it was. "I didn't expect to have stumbled across anyone, let alone family." Jaz was slightly uncomfortable, not with Kami's presence, but with her own inability to be able to talk, or make conversation. Having not done so in so long... the skill seemed rather lost on her. But, she would have to get over it if she were to become part of a family once more.

"I wouldn't be following my father's teaching if I didn't.." -It was a soft statement, an obvious pain lying beneath the words. But they were sincere as well.
Perhaps it was a little selfish of the golden queen.. to want to cling so hard to this lingering piece of family despite the discomfort that it might cause for the recovering lioness. But her mind was already convincing her that it was for the best. And perhaps it was?
If she got better, grew comfortable once again then perhaps she'd be happy? It was a far better life then simply living in a haze in the roguelands.
Watching the rocks draw closer and larger as they walked, Kami hazzarded softly.- "Perhaps once you're feeling better you can decide if you'd like to stay here more permanantly? No matter where I traveled back when I was younger, there was no place I wanted to be more then here again."

A soft nod from Jahzara showed her understanding and gratefulness for the fact that Kami was leading her home. Home... that was a foreign word on her mind, she'd never really considered anything in particular as 'home' before. The idea was strange, and yet, it almost felt right. She belonged here, same as anyone else, perhaps more so because she was family, right? Still, even the word family was an odd concept for her. It would take some getting used to, for sure. By the by, it was better to stick with family, than to free-fall in a life of rogue-hood with nothing to show for anything.
Bowl-shaped ears swiveled forward and slightly to the side, picking up Kami's voice clearly. She was being invited to live out her years here, to be able to call this place home for as long as she'd like. It had been almost like Kami had read her current thoughts. "I think it's a good idea... I don't see myself leaving anytime soon. Perhaps others will end up wandering back as well?" The tone was hopeful, though it was obvious Jaz wasn't sure any of them would return. Heaven's only knew what'd gone on with the rest of her family by now. "I think I can decide now, that I will stay, here in the pridelands with you, my cousin, for as long as you'll have me." The golden lioness offered her doppleganger a bit of a smile, easily seen if Kami glanced over her shoulder.

((Not lost, just abandoned in the craziness that has been life lately XD))
"Perhaps they will..." -It was a whistful whisper, barely loud enough to be heard. But Kami had liked to dream, and considering how often new faces filtered into the pridelands, it didn't seem an impossible dream. She'd heard it before.. whether it be true or not, it certainly seemed true. The pridelands were the biggest. More creatures called the place home then any other single place. And certainly one would choosen such a lovely place over roguedom?
Her attention was drawn back with surprise by the ease of Jahzara's acceptence, and her eyes did catch that flash of a smile. Her own attitude was not to hard to read, her voice rising like a cub, not the dignified queen she was supposed to be.- "Really? I'm so glad!"
-Tossing her glance towards the rocks that now towered in their closeness she added thoughtfully.- "For now it's probably best you stay within the large royal den. But in the future, if you prefer privacy there are plenty of scattered small dens within the lower rocks."

((No problem, I know whatcha mean. Hasn't been calm here for a while either xD))
Jaz remained silent but nodded slightly once more. An invitation to the royal dens was not something to turn down, especially when one's been gone so long that others may not accept her for who she was.
She did smile, however at the joy that Kami displayed at her decision of staying. To know that at least one person was glad of her coming home and of her deciding to stay, made the whole idea seem worth it.
Emboldened by the fact that she seemed allowed to speak her mind, and the fact that she didn't see scores of huntresses out looking for a meal, Jahzara spoke out on what could potentially have been something not of her own business.
"H-how fair the hunting parties in the lands?" It was short, and simple, but in truth she wanted to know more. Much more. How many parties came up lazy and empty pawed, how many came up with little to no food, etc. But it wasn't likely her place to get that detailed, for sure.

-A rumbling subcouncious purr sounded low in the queen's throat as they drew nearer to the looming landmark, the base of the rocks only a few long strides away now. But her attention clicked back to Jazhara as the questions rose. And softly Kami shyed her eyes to the side.-
"Ahhh.. well." -She paused softly. Being an utter klutz herself, never having been able to learn or master the task that seemed necessary to any 'good for anything' lion, Kami didn't often check on or hang about the hunting groups. So her answer dragged with obvious uncertainty.- "I've never been hunting myself... so I can't say I know first hand how the hunting is going.."
"I do know that enough food is being brought back for everyone currently.. But I don't know with what ease or difficulty the task is taking." -A twinge of guilt hit her at having not thought of the idea before.. That the hunters could be out there struggling and hunting many many hours of the day just to feed everyone. She expected they'd have complained.. but perhaps they didn't want to burden the queen.-
"As it is right now there are random packs of hunting that go out when they please.. so it's a little hard to gauge for everyone. It would be alot easier if our head huntress was still around."

"You no longer have a head huntress?" At the words, Jahzara perked up slightly. She wasn't concerned with Kami's inability to hunt, surely she had more pressing issues to deal with than hunting.
"It's good enough food is brought back, that's a good sign. But without a head huntress... you're likely not going to hear about any problems, I'm sure. Are there any of the huntresses that willingly come to you about anything? Perhaps one you could make into a head huntress so that you'd know more about that situation. If nothing else, someone to keep the lazy ones in line so that no one's doing the share of 10 lions on their own." Thoughtfully, Jahzara mused on this subject, not once thinking that perhaps she should ask permission to speak... quite so freely with the ruler of the lands."
(Sorry it took a while hun *snug*)

"Oh yes, she left quite awhile ago actually. Along with her firekin mate. Father never replaced her because she'd had intentions of returning.. but considering how many seasons have come and gone, perhaps it's about time I did find someone."
-She soaked up the bit of knowledge that her cousin was unknowingly giving her. Problems. Laziness. Keeping things organized. It all sounded logical.-
"The scouts bring me news, as with the nannies, but I don't believe their are any hunters that have done the same. So if they are having problems, they're dealing with it on their own."
-Her maw drew tight for a moment, as her mind wandered, and she asked mildly, considering Jahzara seemed rather versed in the subject.- "What is the best way too choose a leader? I would assume I'd have to look for someone both strong enough for lioness' to rally under and who was good enough at the actually hunt."
"But I fear I might mess up their hunts if I try to sneak along behind and watch to find out who fits those traits."

"I am certainly not one to tell you how to do what you do best, my queen, but I would assume it would be best to choose someone you trust, and know without having to sneak around to be a good hunter. Perhaps mention to all the huntresses that you're going to make some changes, explain to them what you're looking for, and let them prove themselves? Unless of course you know the skills of some already." Jahzara honestly wasn't really knowledgeable on the subject, but she must've done alright for herself in the lands, as she was still alive, and had been on her own for some time. However, to look at her wasn't exactly the best way to judge, as her illness had taken quite a bit out of her form. That would change, given a couple of weeks of recovery, but that was later on down the road.
Jahzara pondered the situation, mulling over the options the young queen would likely have. "I've been unfortunately wandering in a daze, so if I've run across anyone worthy of helping you, I couldn't begin to explain, or introduce or anything. I don't remember hardly anything, and that I do remember I can't determine whether it was a dream, or real. I'm afraid I'll not likely be much help in this, unless you'd like someone to keep an eye out for now?"

"That probably is best." -She nodded thoughtfully.- "To give out word that I am looking for someone to take the place. If I do that, then I can watch, or have some of the scouts watch. And anyone who is interested, or knows of someone who is particularly good can offer there opinions."
"Since i know it's kind of daunting to offer advice if one doesn't ask for it first."
-Smiling widely, for the day seemed only to get better and better, with returning family, with things in the kingdom seeming to fall into her paws with an ease that she hadn't expected, she paused for a moment, before leaping up the first set of rocks. Waiting for her cousin to follow before she begin to lead the easiest way up the side of the royal monument.- "Almost there."
