I still don't see how Manta could see Faust as a father figure. I mean who faints from hearing a song coming from someone they consider a father figure. Well Manta probably just couldn't see Faust doing that.

And that's OK, GT. Faust is kind of over-dramatic, whereas Manta's a bit of a minimalist, so I think you probably nailed it; Manta couldn't see ANYONE doing that. I think that it's a little in between. Manta is at once scared of Faust, while admiring his genius and even feeling a little bit protective of him since he's a little vulnerable and unstable. heart
