hiriyou Yes, I won't deny it. I write smut for word padding, usually in dreams or awkward interactions between characters. However, I hate written smut because I find that most often it's either too romanticized or its the whorish sex-in-an-alley kind of smut. There's never an in-between. xp I'm determined to make one smut scene last for 3k words. xD That'll be fun. One of my main characters purposely wants to wait to have sex because the other MC freely admits he was a total slut before so naturally his boyfriend wants to be SURE he's willing to wait for it and not just wanting to have sex and leave him. So I'm building up to the point when they finally have sex and that will be a big scene. I don't think it'll be 3k words big, but big... at least 1k words. xp

But this is where I come back to my, "I hate romanticized sex," speech which I won't go into. xP Anyways, 3k isn't too bad, especially if your characters are using a lot of pent-up energy. razz

I'm pretty anti-smut: can't write it, don't want to read it... so I can't use it for padding.
So I write excessively gratuitous violence instead. 3 pages of eye-gouging, jaw-ripping, blood-splattering madness, anyone? twisted
And I love the idea of characters interrupting a major dramatic speech... I definetely want to use that.

I don't write very good smut or violence! crying Well, my comic does have violence, but it's really pathetically described... if I was any dumber "he jumped like Neo in the Matrix" would be in there

I hate writing smut (but like reading it. XD *shot*) and I suck at writing violence. I think my specialty is weather. Or pointless dialogue that goes nowhere. XD

XD Dialogue that goes nowhere is fun. I have oodles of dialogue in my story. Though I swear sometimes they switch topics so randomly, but I totally do that in real life, but I'm not sure how long an average person should dwell on talking about murder xd

XD I'm better at pointless narration or description that goes nowhere. xD I love making a description about a fire extend for six sentences.

And Paying in Naivety * "Afflict one of your characters with a stutter, and it doubles the girth of their dialogue, and it also allow the supporting cast to spend several pages wondering in great, wordcount bolstering detail about the sudden, mysterious onset of the speech impediment." (Had to quote that word for word, it was funnier that way.) This is the funniest thing I have read all week. rofl Too bad I cant use it, it really doesn't fit. My other main character doesn't talk at all. stressed I'm going to write smut only in case of emergency. *looks at her word count* I think it's about time! biggrin
