I was just wondering if any of the online Lolita stores sell wigs? Because I would like to get a wig like this ---> Wig But I'm unsure of wear to find one, and although my Mum was searching for one on Ebay, I don't really want to get one off of there.

Cosmates is the way to go for wigs but also cosplay places like fireflypath.com have pretty wigs. <3

THE place to buy wigs: Amphigory.comTheir wigs are super. I've bought two and I'm extremely pleased. The colors are great (even the blondes!), the fiber is realistic, and they are excellent for styling. You can see me wearing one in my thread. ("Kagitsune's First Successful.....") This talented young woman only uses Amphigory wigs. You may have heard of her: Katie Bair. Honestly, cosplay and wig-styling is in her blood. Unbelievable. 3nodding Katie Bair's Art Emporium and Petting Zoo

Another idea is to use your own hair and add curly extensions on where needed. I guess it only works well if your hair is short (please correct me if I'm wrong, because my hair goes down to my waist and I would love to use this method!), but it's a lot cheaper and more comfortable. You can buy them at just about any shopping mall or beauty supply store, too! 3nodding

Which wigs do you think look the most real? I don't think those amphigory wigs look very real.

~neko neko kitty~ cosmates.com has wigs i believe I talked to the owner of Cosworx and apparently they're getting some wigs in soon that would be perfect for lolita! I know their wigs are good quality and they're all reasonably priced.

Monofilament wigs look very realistic for synthetic wigs. I'm not a fan of the Amphigory wigs, either.
If you want a high quality wig, you're going to be paying for that quality. Think at least $100. Probably more like $300. It's worth it, but spendy, just as buying brand clothing is.

If you don't mind styling your own wigs this is a great site: http://wowwigs.comI bought a long black wig from them for $40, it is synthetic with a synthetic scalp. I've put it into so many different styles & the hair hardly ever comes out of it & people always think it is my real hair.. they have a lot of different styles, colours and qualitys to choose from, I highly recomend them. heart
