This is a conversation I had at work a while ago.
1) Can you tell a member of the same sex that he/she looks good?
The way that the girl who brought it up worded it was "Would you ever say that a guy is attractive?" That, I couldn't do. Calling someone attractive means (to me) that I would be attracted to that person. I could say that he looks nice or something, but I wouldn't use the same words to describe the way a guy looks that I would a girl.
One person said that he could say something like "You look sharp." It was funny because his voice got much deeper as he was saying that, like he was trying to sound as 'manly' as possible.
Another person said "I bet he gets a lot of p***y." He's a homophobe. Can't say directly that a guy looks good or else it will make him look gay, maybe?

2) Can you have a gay friend of the same sex?
I could, and I have. As long as that person respects that I'm not gay then it's fine. The thought of two guys together does gross me out a bit, but it's not my life and it's not like I have to watch.
One person flat out said no. He said it's wrong and not natural... Then he said that he likes lesbians... He's actually more worried about what people will think if they see him with a gay guy... homophobe...
One person said that he used to be afraid to be seen around gay guys because of what people might think, but he grew out of that. What people do behind closed doors is their own business.
