Tycho flopped onto his bed, after checking the door and windows to make sure all his security checks were in place. From within his pack, he pulled out a battered, mud-stained notebook. On the cover were the words "Tycho Jurnal", written in white-out in the near illegible scrawl of a yound child. Inside, there's a steady improvement of the hand-writing until blank pages are reached. Tycho flipped to one of these, and set pen to paper.

Journal Entry 1

I'm here.

Shinkami. It's so much more than I could have imagined. I met clockwork boy on the boat coming here. I couldn't really find much about him, too busy puking. Boat rides suck. I really hope I don't have to leave here in a hurry anytime soon, since boat seems the most obvious choice. Blech. Anyways, I met Shija after we'd gotten to the island. She seems nice, though a bit bird-crazy. She has some insane knick-knacks in that house of hers. Nothing worth lifting, though. Marie was ten-times as insane as Shija, though a lot cooler. She had this crazy car that looks kinda like a boat. Apparently, we can use them to travel around on these silvery roads that are suspended in the air. The view from those roads...

Oh yeah, I'd better draw a map of what I saw. Marie explained some of what the school grounds were like. I'm not sure I'll be able to remember all of it, since she had to scream it at us.

A crude drawing outlining the basic buildings of Shinkami.

That's what I've got so far. Anyways, Marie took us to this big shindig thing that the Headmaster was holding. He talked about the school, rules and such. Blech, again. Too many rules, and the security looks pretty tight. Not to mention I have to see if the magic here is going to have any effect on my ability to get around, among other things.

ELVES! There are ELVES here! I met two of them! Heru Araquenosse and Heru Irame. Heru is elvish for teacher or master.

A lot of this paragraph has been erased and scribbled over.

Damn. It's tough trying to describe just how cool it is to finally meet elves. I know that Irame is head of the Magic division, so I'll be able to see her often.

I met some other people there, too. Someone threw a fan at my head. I have it now, it's kinda busted. I'm thinking that I can fix it. I just need some slim wood, and tape, I think.

Oh yeah, people. Professor Javelin (heretofor referred to as the Lady)is to be avoided whenever possible (Sneaky?! What kind of nick name is that?!), though Professor Ardanay Veilwood told me that I would be taking classes from her. I suppose it makes sense. Can't all be fun and games after all.

Things to do:
Explore and fill out map
Avoid stealing until magic problem resolved!
Avoid the Lady
See Irame and Arequenosse again
Learn magic
