Okay, Dansu didn't wanna help me write. Darn muses ._.
But anyway, here it is:
The boy had been probably one of the most handsome people where he lived a long time ago. His family was proud of him, his beautiful short, and in a way, spiked, silver with black tipped hair. His name was Vox, in which he held with pride. He was a hybrid, half-lynx, half-phoenix, which in his clan, apparently was a big turn-off to all. But as he grew from child to teenage, he saw a young girl. He became friends with her, though she was arranged a marriage. This angered the usual well-tempered hybrid. As the girl and future husband finally married, he found himself lusting for her. So one day, he told himself he would kill the male on his own and take the beauty as his own. So one night, he slaughtered the male as he had been taking a midnight stroll like usual. When the now widow heard this, it pierced her like a needle in a heart. A year later of her mourning, she committed suicide. This, as well, made Vox, like the female dismal. “I will kill myself,” he would continuously told himself everyday.
Time started passing, and he continuously tried to do the same, but every time he would be frightened of death and back off from the brush of death. But after awhile, after getting the closest he did to trying, he frightened himself once more. Instead, he leaved the country of where he broke his heart.
After traveling from place to place, he searched for a girl that was like the beloved one me had met. But as he met one similar, there was always something wrong with them. Too young, too old, married, dating, it seemed like that. But occasionally, when he meet the perfect one, the fates always were the same…

wooo....this took a bit to right @___@ nanorhymo made me dread writing stories lol so...here's my entry

Black Love

“Mujaki!”
As the name was uttered golden eyes immediately opened. Slowly a pink blush formed over his face, the young male pushing away from the wall. The knight noted that the nobles were gone, leaving him and his beautiful princess alone in the throne room. He smiled charmingly at her blue eyed fury. “My apologies Lady Maryline…” Slowly the fury melted into helplessness.
“Sir Mujaki…what am I going to do with you? You are always falling asleep during my meetings.”
He winced at her words, gental and soft but biting as deeply as cold steel. “My apologies Lady Maryline…It will never happen again.”
The female stood with a sigh but smiled at him. “You know the punishment for putting me in danger…” He winced again. A harsh strapping. “Escorting me back to my room.” The male blinked, surprised to say in the least. “Well? Take your punishment like a man.”
Gracefully he bowed at the waist before walking up to her side. “I shall try.” And they walked down the long chamber out into the hallway. Like all the others, this one had shinning oak floor boards with a high vaulted chamber, a crystalline chandelier hanging above every few paces. And though there were no windows, candles sufficiently lit the place in golden holders attached to the creamy white walls. Occasionally they past a wooden door, gleaming in the soft light. Each carving in those doors were different, painstakingly made by the best artists. Soon they came to two wide double doors. The image was forever imprinted in his mind. A flowing waterfall crashing down on the sharp rocks below, so real looking that he could have sworn a few times he heard the roar of water. The woman disappeared inside her room with a flash of a smile. Princess Maryline… He took his post outside of her room.

***
The princess looked at herself in the mirror, her head pounding harshly in her chest. Thank Arigon that he hadn’t seen the light blush on her fair flesh. She sighed, slipping off her crisp white dress before taking off the itchy white gloves. How foolish it was to think that the knight could ever think of her in a way other then…a charge. She was thin almost to the point of illness, her body frame seeming to belong to a boy. And no matter how pretty her heart shaped face was, no matter how her baby blue eyes shone in the light, the half silver dragon could never be interested in someone as plainly formed as she. Mujaki…

~*~

As morning broke, the male finally pushed away from the wall. Two guards were coming to relieve him and now he got to sleep. Sleepily Mujaki yawned while walking to his room, golden eyes half lidded as they peered without seeing through silver bangs. He went into his room, hands brushing against the carved picture of two swans mid-flight and promptly fell into his bed. His soft…comfy bed…

~

The knight awoke to the softest sound of someone entering his room. Instantly he was up, a hand going to his sword by his bedside. Just a maid. “Careful good lady…you must be new. Be sure to make as much noise as you possibly can while coming in.”
The big brown eyed girl lightly frowned, a basket in her arms filled with clothes. “I…I didn’t want to wake you…”
He smiled at her. “Do not concern yourself in such matters. I am trained to wake up if so much a pin drops upon the floor.” The man slipped out of bed, his arms reaching towards the ceiling in a stretch. He couldn’t help but notice the girl staring at him. He got that a lot. Beyond the eyes and hair, he wasn’t all that special. Lean but muscular, his face had the hint of boyish charm when really he was twenty five. Long past the boy stage in life. But he still was handsome and him being the princesses most trusted knight didn’t hurt. The dragon lightly chuckled. “Though I hardly mind dear lady I would think it improper to watch me dress would you not say…?” She let out a soft squeak before dashing off, forgetting his own dirty clothes in the process. Mujaki stood and walked over to his dresser, choosing a dark black shirt with a high collar and dark leggings with soft leather boots. He flexed his silver wings slightly, the crimson webbing catching the few rays from the sun before he took hold of this broadsword and slung it over his shoulder so the hilt peeked over his right shoulder. Quickly the silver dragon walked out of his room to join the princess for breakfast. Along the way servants dropped into deep bows or curtsies, their eyes locked on him in awe. It always embarrassed him to no end, no matter the six years he spent in the castle enduring it. In no time he was in the dinning room, a huge room like the throne room with a long wooden table in the center. Plate upon plate upon plate of food covered it, looking as if the chef was cooking for two hundred instead of two. Then again, despite Maryline’s thin form it sometimes seemed like she could eat that much. And there she was. Sitting at the head of the long table her eyes expectantly held his. She was…absolutely beautiful as always in a soft blue dress, accenting those innocent looking glasses that captivated him so. He sat down beside her to the left. He might be as close as possible to royalty, but the right hand was reserved for her should her father ever join. Arigon bless his ill soul…
“Good morning Sir Mujaki.” She smiled and started to delicately spoon strawberries onto her plate. She always waited for him to eat, just as he did if she overslept.
“Good morning my lady…” He waited until her plate was piled high with pancakes, strawberries, fluffy scrambled eggs, crisp bacon, cantaloupe and slices of apple before he put two waffles on his own. They ate in silence, but it wasn’t at all awkward. No, it was…warm. A silence where nothing need be said. Again the delicate Maryline proved his earlier thought true as she devoured three helpings of food, all as neatly as she would have done in front of a noble or king. An odd sight indeed if you were not used to it.
“A…A doctor is coming to see Father.” He stared at her, a glass of milk halfway raised to his lips.
“I knew that you could find someone who could heal him.”
She sadly shook her head. “It is just a hope. He has been journeying for many days now to reach here as soon as possible. He is the best gold can buy…if anyone has a hope of saving him…it is him.”
Mujaki nodded. “When is he coming?”
“Any moment now. He says the sooner the better…a few minutes could be the difference between life and death.”
“Throne room?”
“Yes. Will you join me?”
He smiled, a kind smile. “Where ever you wish me to be my lady…I will be there. Whether it be to the throne room, to another continent…to Hell, or up with Arigon Himself. That is my oath to you.”

~

Soon enough the doctor came, a scrawny man with beady eyes looking over precautious looking glasses. He rubbed his thin nose with a long finger. But dispite his appearance, his bow to the princess was as graceful as any with just the right amount of flourish. “My lady.”
“Rise. I thank you for coming all this way. Me and my kingdom owes you our eternal gratitude.”
He beamed, hands fidgeting slightly with embarrassment on his white bag of herbs. “It was my pleasure. If you could show me to the patient…”
“Right away.” She stood and Mujaki moved in next to her.
“One only please. I like to keep my herbs a secret…part of the reason why I am the best.”
Maryline sighed. “I will go then-”
“No…no my lady. It is not safe for you to be alone.” He looked at the doctor. “Excuse me, I do not doubt your credibility but…”
“You have obligations as a knight.” He finished and the swordsman nodded.
Maryline smiled at him. “Alright…just this once. I trust you know where my Fathers room lies.”
Mujaki nodded once more before walking out, the scrawny male following behind.
“Maryline’s personal knight…I have been here for less then a day and yet I have heard so much about you already.”
He blinked. “You flatter me good sir, but most of what you have heard no doubt has been inflated beyond control. I doubt that even I could live up to a quarter of them.”
“Modesty in a knight. How rare.” He reached into his pouch. “I have also heard that you protect the lady very well.”
“I try my best.”
The scrawny man stopped, knowing that the knight would as well. “I have something for faithful workers like yourself…”
Mujaki frowned lightly, suddenly uneasy. “What…is it?”
He reached into the folds of this dark clothes and pulled out a tiny black leaf. “Though I do not much believe in such matters…that leaf is from an Vol Tree, said to be extinct. It is said to bring good luck with those of pure heart.” Slowly the silver haired man took it, frown deepening.
“Why would you…”
“Don’t worry about it. Just whisper Axion Forgon whenever it seems Lady Luck has turn its back on you. Shall we?”
Mujaki looked up from the leaf “…Yes… yes, right this way.”

~

Ding…the clock rang in the silver dragons room and instantly he sensed something amiss. Call it a sixth sense, call it Arigons warning but it had never let him down the few times it nipped at him. Immediately he was wide awake, sitting up. It was still dark outside, this time having the dawn shift and all seemed quiet. “Mujaki!” The harsh cry cut through his wooden door as it shook from someones frantic banging. He got out of bed and rushed to the door, opening it quickly.
“P-Princess…Princess Maryline?”
Tears ran down her face. “Father…Father is…”
His eyes widened. “I…I…my lady…”
A cry was wrenched from her throat as she threw herself onto him, wrapping her arms around the knight to sob against his chest. “Why…it is not fair…it just is not fair…”
“The…the doctor…he looked at him just a few hours ago…I watched him make the kings medicine…”
“He told me…he…he could only lengthen his time…” Her tone turned a touch bitter, mixed with overwhelming saddness. “And then when I came to give him his medicine…he was…he was not breathing.”
“Everything will be alright my lady…everything will be alright…” Axion Forgon… he thought, they both needed luck right now…him…the lady…and everyone in the kingdom. The princess slowly rose her head, looking at him with shinning blue eyes. And slowly…very slowly…he leaned down and kissed her lips. They moved into his room, closing the door.

~

Soon enough Mujaki woke up on his own, morning already it seemed. He yawned and sat up, stretching before looking beside him. The princesses back was turned to him, her blue nightgown hanging loosely on her. They of course had done nothing improper. She just didn’t want to be alone. “Princess? Princess Maryline?” He softly whispered, a hand reaching out to wake her up. He took her shoulder and pulled it towards him to she would be laying on her back…and the blood drained from his face. Deep dark bruises were on her neck, her lips a faded purple. Slowly he reached out and touched her cold flesh. He…she…no… no, no…the thin dark lines on her neck were the same length and thickness as his fingers. No…he…he would never…not…not his maryline… Tears welled up in his eyes but he fought them back. A dream…this was a dream! Or more like a nightmare. He reached out and pulled the black leaf out of her long golden hair. He couldn’t…he just couldn’t…The knight slipped out of bed, numbly getting dressed with the same black high collared shirt, dark pants and leather boots. This time though he put on his dark green cloak and forehead protector. The silver thing had been a gift from Maryline, plain with just a simple circle in the center but…it was only a matter of time before they found him and they wouldn‘t let him stay. He didn’t know what else he could do…so he walked out. He should make his rounds around the castle…it would clear his head…give him a course of action…seeing how he couldn’t just hand her over and say that it was an accident. But soon enough a cry of alarm was sounded, spurring him out the castle doors. He didn’t think, he didn’t feel, the wind pushing against him. The sound of running footsteps followed him.

After what seemed like hours, the chase finally ended when he ran into a forest and slowly he stumbled through the woods. Until finally…the man just collapsed onto his knees on an outcropping looking over the kingdom. He bowed his head, tears running down his face. Axion Forgon…Axion Forgon… What had he done? Who was that doctor? Axion Forgon…Axion Forgon…he burned the words into his mind. Maryline…oh my maryline…
