As I was just telling [f.r.e.a.k]

I say DD told him to do it there for he is good, my reason is DD thought it best that Snape should stay alive and keep his vow and so Snape wouldn't die and spy for the good guys and not get caught.

Snape is good he a great spy and DD had more then what he said why he trusted him. Like my pal naruto says believe it!

I have heard many things like...
Snape pretended to kill Dumbledore who took some potion (I forget the name of the somethin or other potion) that gives only the appearence of death. OR...
Snape has to be evil, he has been trying to get Harry expelled
But then again...
When Voldemort came back why didn't Snape come as a loyal death eater would... but again again,
Snape was supposed to secretly be on Voldemort's side so to cover up, he stayed back with Dumbledore...

like what L.O.S.E.R. said, Severus Snape just isn't a kindly person kind of name...I mean, it has the word "sever" in it...as in, "haha, I just severed several of your limbs!" i mean, come on, does that name make you think he'll offer you milk and cookies?

I don't think that he's a nice person, and he is evil in some ways, but as to which side he's on, i beleive that he's on our side.
