"I'm glad, father. Mother is an amazing lioness. I love her so very much, just as much as I love you!" Motobi'ata, smiled widely as he gave her a kiss. Then she looked in the distance for a moment. Maybe it was time for her to make her leave. She had stayed too far away from her own den. "Maybe sometime you can come over to my den and see me! I found my own den, and even made friends with a lion. Hes very nice. ... ... I really like him a lot." She stood back up and peered around.

"I will go wander one day, and come back to tell you all the tales that I have learned. I'm sure it will be just as good as your journey!"

"Your own den?" Hmmm... Sounded suspicious. But he trusted her, and so he nodded in agreement, standing as well. "I shall. Whenever you wish for me to come and visit, tell me so. And I would like to meet this new friend of yours." A smile crossed his face. "Any friend of my Moto's is a friend of mine."

After a good stretch, he winked. "One day you shall be telling tales of your journeys to your children, just as I will one day tell you stories of my own. And perhaps in the future we shall journey together, little flame."

"I would really like that, dad." She agreed, and nodded. "I would love to stay longer, but I promised my friend I wouldn't be very long! He mentioned something about exploring the lands ..." She padded back over to Kavuasi and gave him the biggest hug she could manage.

"I love you, dad." She purred, and then backed up. She looked up into his eyes once more, before trailing off in the direction of her den, excitement filling her heart.

"I love you too, Moto." He murmured as he returned the hug. And as she left, a strange new sadness filled him. His little flame wasn't so little anymore... But all children do not stay children for long, he told himself as he headed back towards his den. All children grow old, and the circle of life continues on regardless of the sadness in a father's heart.
