The first week started off slow, then sped up a little, now things are slow, even though it should be to an exciting point in my book. The problem is, I don't really feel like writing. Yet, I continue writing, because that's the point of Nano Wrimo, to trudge on and produce a piece of crap, but at least it'll be a finished piece of crap.

Does anyone else feel this way, or is it just me suffering from writer's constipation?

Yeah, I feel the same way. I think (hope) it's just the second week slump that Chris Baty talked about in his week 2 pep talk.

I'm hoping that's it too. I mean, I've reached the half way point. I should just be blazing along, but I'm not.

I know, I finally got to a good flowing point in my story, and then the juices drained out and now it's become a sentence-by-sentece ordeal.

Though now I'm only eight thousand words behind, as opposed to the twelve thousand I was behind two days ago. It makes me feel like I can close the gap.

There is no doubt in my mind that you'll catch up. And I think I've thought of something to help get this chapter flowing a bit better.

Still don't feel like writing though *sigh*

I feel the same way. I was a lot happier with the story when I started out, now I'm just dragging myself along, trying to ignore the gaping plot holes and lack of any real plot. ><

I think it would help if I actually knew what it was I wanted to happen in any given chapter. By about page three I'm usually going pretty well, but start a chapter and the inertia sort of fizzles out.

Come on, half way, the story should be moving right along, but it doesn't feel like it.

Perhaps it's time for an infamous fantasy time jump!
