I don't know what to believe, I need help. I have never read the book of Revelations but I've seen the end of the world. I had a total of three dreams. The first was fragmented and I remembered very little. I didn't understand it and out of skepticism I prayed that if it was a vision from God (I was guided by the angel Gabriel[I hope I spelled it right] through each of the dreams) to please send me another and that I could remember it once I woke up. The following night the dream came, I was once again guided by the angel Gabriel and by a faceless brown haired girl who said nothing at all. The dream consisted of things I later researched and found in the book of revelations such as the beasts from the sea and other phenomenon. Gabriel did not appear in an "angelic" form. To me, he appeared as a mdiget. You may criticise me, but I find midgets very amusing and intriguing as far as their genetic make up. In my dream I had a feeling the end was near and I yelled to my family (who are very religious) to come with me and pray. They told me that it wasn't and how could I know when I'm not a virgin ( I lost it at 14) and have sinned so much that I was luckey "to be saved." How could I know what God wanted when my faith was so wavering and I sin so much? They instead went outside to watch the turbulent surf. (my family lives near the beach).

So I prayed and the Gabriel walked into the room or something like that and told me I was right, and that the end was near. But that it wasn't happening just yet. He told me that so many will not listen when it came and that I have to tell others of what will happen. The dream took me all over the world and showed me how it would end: a majority of the United States ( including my home state of Florida) would be reclaimed by the sea, Mount Vesouvias (or however it's spelled) recalimed Pompeii and more. The ash suffocated and killed more than in the original eruption. In the dream I was taken to scenes like this all over the world. Then the demons came, I was fearful beyond comprehension. Gabriel took me in his arms and the dream ended.

The third was a... type of parable dealing with demons and how they plagued the sinful and the innoccent equally as well as how they possessed people. Gabriel left me, he told me it was time to stand on my own. The demons saw me and he left. I didn't know what to do. I remembered the story I was told as a child of the time when Jesus combatted the Devil in the desert with scripture to ward off the temptations. So I started quoting everything applicable I knew. I quoted from Psalms asking for God's strength and protection, I quoted other verses that I didn't know where they came from in the bible. I woke up quoting scripture I had never heard or read before in my life, this terrified me most of all.

I've told only one other person about this. She's a devoute Catholic and listened to me all the way through with all the details. She didn't know what to tell me. I'm unsure of whether it's just me or if I had been visited by Gabriel. I don't know who talk to or what to do. I've already stated I'm a sinner and I don't know as much about my "faith" as I should even though I grew up in the church. I don't attend regularly, I don't pray regularly, or do anything that a "good" christian should. And yet I've had these dreams and they scared the daylights out of me. Please help.

Hon, I'm praying for you.
I don't know what to tell you about your dreams. Honestly, that's between you and God, in my opinion.
Don't worry so much about being a sinner. And, don't listen to your family when they tell you things like you are lucky to be saved. Every human being is a sinner. We all fall short. God loves you anyway.
Talk to God. Pray, however you can, whenever you remember. Remember: He loves you, and wants to have a relationship with you. Maybe these dreams are a way of waking you up. Whatever the reason, my advice to you is to pray. That is always the best thing you can do.

It's difficult to say. I do believe God can talk to us through dreams (and I've had a few myself), but these are rare. For me, God has used dreams to get my attention, or to reassure me of things.

Dreams can come from one of 3 sources, ourselves, God and the Devil. One thing I know is that even in the dreams He sends us, God is still a kind and loving God. His personality and love remain the same and He has the same nature and desires that we see in the Bible.

I would suggest that you take a look at your dreams in this light, to see if you can discern the source. How do they make you feel? Are you paniced and scared, or determined to reach the lost before time runs out. Do they help you to see the best in your self (that God sees) or do you feel condemned and worthless? Are they clearing up points in your faith, or making you more confused? You can probably see where I am going with this. I once received a dream I believe was from the Devil, to put me on the wrong track, and I can still remember the feelings of panic it induced.

I'm not saying that God only sends nice hearts-and-flowers dreams. I have a friend who dreamed that she would die in Africa, but the way she felt about this just gave her confirmation that she was being called as a missionary there (she's been in Uganda for 10 years now!).

Pray to God about this. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you, to give you clarity and wisdom, and to protect your sleep and dreams from harrassment by the enemy. Ask Him if there is anything unresolved in your life that He is wanting you to work through. Remember, every single one of us has sinned, and we are all lucky to be saved. That part of your dream sounds to me like condemnation from the enemy, and you just don't have to listen to it. Jesus paid the price for you, long ago on Calvary, and you are His.

And please, don't get scared at the thought that these dreams may have come from the enemy. When one of my friends had similar dreams, it was because he had just become a Christian, and was about to be baptised. When I had mine, I had just accepted a nomination to become a deacon at my church. These things happen at important crossroads, and if the enemy is interested in you it's because you are a threat to him. God has great plans for you. Pray, read your Bible, if you can, try to find a good church or friends you can explore and deepen your faith with.

I'm praying that God will protect you, and show you great and mighty things to encourage you and help you move deeper into your faith with Him. It's an awesome ride!

I agree, whenever I have dreams like that, it's usually because it seems God is trying to tell me something. I've only had a handful of dreams like that my whole life. When I do have them, I know there's something in my life God wants me to change or some path I should be taking.

In 1 John 4:1 it says that we should test the spirits to see if they proceed from God. Every spirit which acknowledges and confesses the fact that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is of God, has God for it's source.
There is also no fear or darkness in God. I have suffered in the past and still do from time to time from fear but I have learned that it is never, never from God. From God there is always peace and love. There was a lady I watched on Christian TV and she said that her daughter used to get dreams at night where angels would take her around the world and would tell her things and she would get confused as to whether these dreams were from God or not, she was told to ask if these spirits would confess that Jesus came in the flesh to see if they were from God.
I know that you call yourself a sinner but you are not. Jesus turned you from a sinner into His righteous child and your new spirit within you is a blameless, perfect being that is made in His image and is a new creature free from the past like a newborn baby. We all fall short daily but as long as we love Him and rely on Him, He sees ONLY our hearts which are new and clean so instead of saying that your a sinner when you mess up, just repent of your failure and say "I am the righteousness of God" and move on proceeding forward and not looking back. I hope I helped a little. God bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you.

Well, for one thing, don't let anyone tell you that you have no say in a matter because you lost your virginity. People know nothing when it comes to the relationship between God and another person. Just because you lost your virginity at a young age doesn't mean God doesn't love you or wont forgive you. Tons of people have sinned before you and God has forgiven them also. Like the prostetute who helped two christian men in the bible. She helped them out of the city and came to God because of the two men. (Names aren't coming to me now... xp )

As to your dreams. Only God knows. My advice to you would be to look for somewhere in the bible that talks about visions. I found one day in 1st Peter or 1st John (Like the above post said) that to find out if an angel is an angel from God, you need to ask if they recognize Jesus as Lord, and if they do, then they are what they say they are. Really what I'm trying to get at is the only things that can help you is the bible and prayer. 3nodding

First of all, your story gave me goosebumps.

now a few things i felt led to post, I dont know why, but I know God works in strange ways...

Everyone sins, even the holiest people slip up every now and agian. The important thing is that God convicts and the devil condems.

The devil cannot read your mind, but he can put things into your mind. As folower of Christ, you have the power to banish the devil. If you feel that something is coming from the devil, all you have to do is, more or less say "In the name of Christ, stop."

Ah, okay, this is good. I've been having a lot of visions lately, and I'm not sure if it's from God. I know that the bible says that the devil deceives many and disguises himself as an angel of light. It seems that for me, I can only enable one sense at a time (vision, hearing or feeling), for example, if I see God, or angels, or something, I can't hear anything, or feel anything. Sometimes, I'll hear God first, then I would be able to see. But then I can't usually hear anything; I can only experience one sense at a time. Any suggestions?

Amen, brother! I also find that saying "He shed His blood for me" or "He chose to bear the cross for my sins." Scares the heck outta the devil!
Also remember that you are a member of Christ's body! Talk with those you believe you can trust, as long as they're Christ followers. May God bless you and help you as you discover the meaning of your visions.
