The wind howled quietly outside that afternoon from the thunder storm that had occured previously that night. Lenne walked along the park path quietly, a bundled up Miyon held close to her chest. They were on their way to the grocery store to grab some bread, for they were out of it.

Her heels clicked against the pavement dully as she walked along, making sure to miss any puddles that tried to cross her path and bar her way.

Elizabeth was acting like a child, and didn't truly care if anyone saw. With a noise of pure joy, she whooped, dropped her umbrella, and ran forward. The light drizzle hit her hair, making it smell like wet dog, but she didn't care. This was rain- her favorite weather! Well, it was kind of rain. It was clearing up, but it was still there.

Elizabeth splashed in a couple of puddles, getting her jeans completely soaked, still laughing. It was then she spotted someone else walking, looking rather miserable. She recognized her vaguely from the grocery store- and the Herald! She recognized that, though the poor creature was difficult to make out.

Without meaning to, Elizabeth ran up to the older woman. quite accidentally splashing her a bit. "I'm terribly sorry, but you look freezing. I have an umbrella if you want." It was the least she could do- her behavior that previous day had been unexcusable, and she still wasn't quite sure what had possessed her. It had just been hormones, she supposed.

Lenne stopped in her tracks as Elizabeth came bounding up to her, soaked from the rain water, with an umbrella in her hand. She gave a small pleasant smile, regardless of the fact water had just been splashed upon her dress. It didn't matter, she had plenty of dresses at home and it was only alittle water.

"It's alright, really..." Lenne smiled alittle, rubbing Miyon's back while she slept soundly. " I think I'll be fine, it's only alittle rain." She laughed, noticing Elizabeth's soaked state. "Rain which you seem to like very much. I met you at the grocery store afew days back, didn't I? I don't think I caught your name.."

Elizabeth nodded amiably, looking more like a pleasant tempered dog than a teenager. "I was there... and I have to apologize for acting like a brat. I honestly don't know what came over me. Hormones, I guess. Most certainly." She laughed a little, almost forgetting to give her name.

"I'm Elizabeth. I'd offer my hand, but I see yours are full. I don't think I caught your name either." She gave a lopsided grin at the sleeping bundle in the woman's arms. Maybe one day... Not that she had maternal instincts, but companionship was a powerful pull when one lived alone at such a young age.

"I do love the rain, I have to admit. I don't really mind the rain or the cold- so long as it's not baking hot!"

"It's alright, really." Lenne laughed slightly. "I acted like that too when I eas younger. All of us have at one point or another. Sometimes I still do." Lenne hiked th child up alittle more, gently, so not to wake the bundled up Herald. She jerked her head back slightly, causing a whisp of hair to leave the front of her face as she spoke. " Hello, Elizabeth. My name is Lenne, and this little one, "She murmured, nodding down to Miyon, "Is Miyon. I take care of her in place of my mother."

Giving a quick glance at the sky to make sure clouds were not gathering where they were she continued, "The rain is a pleasant thing, it washes away the dirt and grime of the world."

Elizabeth nodded, finding the woman's voice and words pleasant to the ear and mind. It wasn't her fault really- everyone acted like this. The justification alievated some of the guilt she felt for acting as she did on that day; she could only hope the others that were there would have equal understanding.

"She's beautiful." Elizabeth remembered the little girl's wings- they were unusual, like every Herald. "It is truly a pleasure to meet you both." Elizabeth held down her Herald's fascination in favor of just looking at the sleeping child, a beautiful silvery creature, when one could see her beneath the blanket.

"And the smell the rain gives... It's beautiful. It's clean and pure, as if everything at that moment is perfectly fine. Except for wet dog, of course." Elizabeth laughed at that, though it was not really that clever, just true.

Lenne smiled warmly, "Thank you. She's very precious." Looking back to the sky she noted the incoming clouds from the west, it was going to begin raining alittle harder than it was now, but not too much. That was a good thing. She'd be able to go back and forth wihtout worry. " It is clean and pure. It's funny how many people say that Snow is the mebodiement of clean and pure, but when you look closely at it, all it does is simply cover up the impurities of the world, instead of washing it away."

Elizabeth nodded, enjoying this conversation that ran beyond mere trivial matters and polite, cordial words. "Snow is often dirty- snow makes things dirty, gathers dirt, reflects it. Rain washes all that away. Speaking of which, I think it will be doing that shortly." Elizabeth chuckled, for she too had noticed the clouds.

"How long has your Herald been in your household? Do you know how you found her? I'm sorry for my boudless curiousity, but I had something strange happen to me a night ago, and now I've got this... being in my living room, sleeping by the fire, and I don't know what in the world it is. It could eat me, for all I know." She blushed, sheepishly recalling her thoughts at the Supermarket of being consumed then.

Lenne chuckled abit at the young woman's fetish with being eaten by everything she came in contact with. It reminded her of several of her siblings. "Little Miyon? I did not find her, my mother did. I care for the little darling. Though my mother mentioned in her rant of that evening that she had found Miyon off the side of the pavement on her way back form the pet store. She was going to get a gecko lizard to quench her own desire for something to skitter on the walls..." Lenne murmured quietly, trying to recall exactly how long Miyon was there, "Miyon has only been in our home a few weeks, I would say. Not very long."

Lenne blinked momentarily as she heard Elizabeth talk about a 'being'. "What kind of being?"
