I agree and disagree at the same time. They're basically just popularity contests; people vote for the person they like best, so I can't really see an avatar contest working fairly. They'd be voting for the person and not necessarily the avatar.
I dunno, maybe I'm wrong, but that's just how I see it.

I dunno, maybe I'm wrong, but that's just how I see it. I think our little society... thing... knows that a contest should never be a popularity contest... I've always seen it as the best person winning... even if I disagree... different things like Member of the Month I understand what you mean... but not like actual contests...

Hmmm...I dunno.
I don't know how people vote, just how I do.
For member of the month, I am hoping that people vote for the nicest, best posting (that sounds weird) gaian. So I guess it IS sort of a way to show people that if you are active and cool in this guild you get a reward.
