The correct word would have been "thou", King of Halla. "Thy" referes to posession. "Thou" is the vocative singuler, used to address a single person. "thee" is the object of a verb or preposition, respectively in the dative or ablative cases. finaly "Thy" refers to the posessive or genitive case.

Oh gods, faux-archaic English. You're worse than it at Paolini, and that's saying something.

Second, they won't, so I'm not worried. Third, why do you?

I know for two reasons, first, because I enjoy archaic literature and have read enough of it that I generally understand it, and second, because my Latin teacher was trying to explain to us the "polite plural" and in the process explained how the singular form of the word "you" had been almost completely dropped in favor of the polite plural form. When you understand the difference, you begin to pick up on more subtle meanings in archaic texts, such as in hamlet the exchange:
"Queen. Hamlet, thou hast thy father much offended.
Hamlet. Mother, you have my father much offended."
This subtle switch from the singular his mother used to the polite plural emphasizes the idea that he is no longer willing to speak with her in personal terms, but instead uses the language he would use with a stranger on the street or an authority figure.
But, I digress, I’m a writing major, words are my toys. Like any game, language works best when you understand it.

Well, I learned something new today. whee But as for the link....I didn't bother going in...I feared for my already fried brain. (I'm in college double majoring in psychology and sociology.)

Ah, brilliant! Such is the usage of the word. Developing hatchlings of vile noobs still in the womb. Kill them before they hatch! evil So I digress, the noobs who are educating the true newbies of this world must be stopped at all costs!
