I was wondering if anyone could help me learn some more Finnish. 3nodding
I'm a Finn myself, but I've been living in Australia all my life.
My dad used to teach me some words, but through out the years I've forgotten a lot!
So yeah~ Please help. 3nodding
Words I'd currently like to know~
Feelings *I'm good. *I'm bad. *I'm happy. *I'm sad. *I'm sick. etc.
Likes/Dislikes *I like coffee. *I like ____ etc.

give a hint what words you could need domokun
Numbers! - Numerot! (pronounciation..erm...)
1 - yksi (yks) 2 - kaksi (kaks) 3 - kolme (kol) 4 - neljä (nel) 5 - viisi (viis) 6 - kuusi (kuus) ((kuusi means also a fir)) 7 - seitsemän (seiten) 8 - kahdeksan (kasi) 9 - yhdeksän (ysi) 10 - kymmenen (kymppi)
In ():s are how the numbers are usually said shorter.
Numbers. How imaginative. sweatdrop Numerot. Kuinka mielikuvituksellista. sweatdrop
(brackets?) - (sulkeet?) short - lyhyt , shorter (than) - lyhempi (kuin) , shortest - lyhin (...lyhyt feels so weird now o_O) word - sana
Probably that wasn't very helpful, but... Good if you want to learn Finnish! Luultavasti tuo ei ollut suuri apu, mutta... Hyvä jos haluat oppia suomea!

I have started a Finnish Grammar post in the Foreign Haven subforum. In addition to grammar rules, I will also post simple phrases and other stuff for all your Finnish-learning-needs. (Just one 'lesson' added, but I will write more stuff there when I have time)
Feel free to even start a new thread there about what you'd like to learn, so I know what people would like to know about our language!
