"Just what the hell are you tryin' to prove?!" Freddie risked opening his eyes to glare up at the frog. He kept struggling, though he changed his tactics to try and roll him off.

As he was rocked, Newt's tongue flew from his mouth to stick to the cow-man's cheak, right at the corner of his mouth. "KrrrKIT!KrrrKITkrrrKIT!" As Newt tried to tug his tongue free again, he swung a webbed hand around in a girlish slap.

"EUGH!" Freddie cried out in a mix of fear and disgust only to get a good amount of.. of frog spit in his mouth.
Most people associate surges of adrenaline with feats like, say, lifting a car off a child. Being simultaneously pinned and tongued by a frog wasn't quite the same, but it was enough to give Freddie the strength he needed to throw Newt off... perhaps not so much to get his tongue off right away.

Newt rolled to the side with a cry, limbs kicking at the air as he twisted to try to get back up again, "'Y-y-yeggo'!!"

Freddie scrambled to his feet. He was enraged enough over the attack to kick the frog man while he was down... But he would have done it even if he was thinking clearly. The rage just made him kick harder.

The frog gave a yelp, rolling onto his side to tumble towards the water and he managed to roll onto his feet. He crouched back, croaking angrilly befor leaping towards the other man once again. Once more shot! One more shot, send Freddie running! He'd be avenged! He'd show him! He'd never beat on him again, and that would be at least one person out of the whole world!

"Damn it, you---!" He let the insult go unfinished. It was hard to think of anything in the midst of a fight, anyway. That time he caught Newt, but it proved difficult to get the frog in a headlock when he had very little neck left to speak of.

Newt croaked as he was caught, kicking with his legs and pushing weakly at Freddie's arms- he was still weaker than the meaty he-she. The frog didn't care. He was upset. He was fat, he was ugly, he was a frog, and he was here because he was a clumsy good-for-nothing. "Y-you... y-you l-look like th-this... and.. and it's j-just your f-first ch-change! W-we'll... w-we'll see you m-mon-mon-months from now!"

"SHUT UP!"
And just in case that wouldn't silence him, Freddie used his other arm to punch Newt in the face while he held him.
And the struggle still wasn't making him feel better, hard as he tried. He drew his fist back to do it again, and then again... and again and again... But with every meaty thud Freddie still felt as empty and hopeless as before. Tears ran down his face- because it should have helped, because none of this should have ever happened to him.
He was just about to strike again when someone somewhere decided the fight had gone on long enough. Freddie's hold on Newt tightened momentarily as the shock made his entire body tense up, then it released as Freddie collapsed in the dirt.

Newt reeled, his vision swimming, his cheaks swollen and one of his large round eyes swelling shut. He hopped sideways, stumbled and then lept for the lake to flee and hide befor the bully awoke again. He felt margionally better, but later he knew he'd feel a heck of a lot worse.

Some time later- he wasn't exactly sure how long- Freddie came to find he was lying in the mud with a splitting headache. He clothes were even more of a mess than when he started, and there was a horrible taste in his mouth that he didn't even want to think about.
He looked around, but it was stupid to think Newt would stick around after all that. His pride in tatters, Freddie climbed to his feet and staggered back off to the village. He didn't care if anyone saw, he couldn't feel any worse.
