Tobias, a detailed look
History
Born and raised in a small fishing town on the west coast of Canada, Toby, as he prefers to be called, lived what most may consider a sheltered life. He was protected from things that might hurt him by a family that thought that he couldn't take care of himself. He instantly was indignant towards his parents, folding his arm across his chest as he set his back against his bedroom door and silently cursed them. His left arm had to be taken while he was young, following a car accident while he was 6. He still lives without, adapting perfectly to using his right arm alone for tasks of balance that normally required at least one free hand to steady oneself.
When he moved on to middle school he looked upon his peers with disdain, as all other boys his age and even younger had already made the effort to go forth for sports teams. Never athletic, even before the car accident that cost him his arm, Toby had never had an interest in the excessive running and jumping of the sports taught in school, until softball season opened. It caught on to him b y accident, a misplaced ball was called for, and he casually lobbed it over to the players, taking silent note as they muttered amidst themselves casting sidelong glances to the light haired boy with one arm. Turning around to walk home past the field the crack of the ball hitting the steel bat, followed by a surprised shout made him turn back, lifting his arm just in time to stop the wayward ball yet again.
Since that time he felt a need to attempt more and more dangerous catches, asking an impressionable friend to lob objects of varying difficulty towards him. Step by step he worked his way to what he could manage in such an unprofessional setting, gaining himself many injuries on the way, and becoming renowned in his little hovel of a town as a great fielder in Softball.
Personality
Toby has become a very outspoken young man, saying what he thinks, when he thinks it, though still being tactful in his musings. Mysterious, warm, and even a little flirtatious, he has made himself up a balance of being a people pleaser, and being a source of blunt honesty when needed. When he performs, however, he becomes nervous, jittery almost, thinking of what the repercussions could be with one slip up, one missed catch or one throw off course.
Appearance
Standing at just under 6'2" Toby's height makes him seem thin as his weight is still not quite distributed proportionally. A mess of dirty blond hair tops his angled face, hanging over both ears when he doesn't get around to brushing it to the side or tying it back. Tobias bears scars on his palm and over his right eye, which is now closed eternally.
Out of costume he can most commonly be seen wearing a button down shirt over a white t-shirt, middle button done to keep from slipping off his shoulders, and black jeans kept in good repair, thrown out the instant a hole is made in the fabric.
A shining red shirt, collar flipped up about his neck, left sleeve tucked into the shirt, topping a simple pair of black slacks form the basis for his costume, kept simple to avoid having anything through off his already shaky level of concentration.
Act
Stage One: Nothing really as of yet, so he needs to build up his confidence with knife play. Will volunteer as a Target, at his own risk, for a knife thrower, though whether or not his offers will be accepted have yet to be seen.
Stage Two: Confident from having worked his way even this far, Tobias is now ready to attempt some of what he came here for. He catches knives thrown at him, either dropping them there or, if desired, relaying them back to the thrower or to a predetermined target.
Stage Three: Now he as gone past just using his hand to catch, where's the challenge in that anyway? He'll add flair to it, catching with his teeth, with his boots, behind his back, catching and shifting to a one handed juggle, hitting targets in the rafters, etc.
Stage Four: ???
