Which one is more appealing to the modern christian?
I tended to beleave the 2nd testament...
but thats just me...
What do you yall think?
It's the whole Bible.
I used to think the New Testament, but the Old Testament has taken on a new life for me.
I've been studying ancient Israeli culture, and now I get a lot of the cultural references in the Bible. And due to understanding some narrative conventions, all of a sudden I can see things in the Bible I never saw before.
The lesson that you need to live by faith is learned really powerfully in the story of Abraham. In it is also the lesson that we are still fallen at the core.
You already know how appealing the NT is. The thing is, the OT is still part of the Bible. Therefore, it still has significance to us as Christians.
