The pentagram was a symbol of the Christian religion having something to do with the star of David, when I find the article, I will quote it for you.
But anyway, the heartagram has the same meaning as a pentagram/pentacle, representing the elements and the Goddess as well as the Self. It is an uplifting symbol, one used to invoke good spirits and also to heal the Self when in times of hardship. If you draw it over your heart inside a circle, it supposedly has some sort of effect on the Chi and helps cleanse the Soul.... biggrin And Baby We Are Too... heart Neeeehhh...Ville isn't pagan though. He says a lot of stuff. He once said the internet was evil and that he doesn't use it then he said that he loved it and used it to find ideas for the song "In Joy and Sorrow" you can't trust everything he says. And just because he wears a cross doesn't mean he's a Christian. Haven't you guys figured out that he likes to confuse people. Just like he told that magazine that he was satanic. He's not. razz

HIM is NOT Satanic although Ville could pass for the devil with his crazy man prettiness. The heartagram sign is I quote "The new yin yang, the perfect balance between good and evil, love and hate" -Ville Valo 2000 interview. People shoudl ask before they judge

i'm the only him fan at my skool, i have 4 friends who have heard him songs and they don't mind it but every1 else is like "they're totally satanic"
they haven't even heard them, even my friend Em who is the biggest prep i know says that they're not satanic and another thing all these people r big Bam Margera fans/posers and they have no idea that his fav band is Him

blackfoxi my friend whose a huge dark light fan is upset and now hates wings of a butterfly because some really annoying prep in our class who usually listens to rap admitted to liking the song. then she started singing it REALLY loudly. i didn't know whether she was making fun of my friend or not. but someone else in my class, a dumbass type, also says he liked it. And i quote "HIM is the cooliest!" i don't get how these people can say that gothic s**t and rock music and everything else HIM's been labled as is bullshit. then turn around and say that they like it. That's... really sad that you're friend would stop liking a song just because other people like it. No matter if they were idiots, why should other people's opinions, who you don't even care about in the first place, affect your opinion on music you like? Now that is the worst kind of selling-out. Instead of changing yourself to be cool, changing yourself to be uncool.....& "Wings of a Butterfly" is a great song.

Helvetti Vanki i couldnt agree more @The Dark Angel Rises-the Heartagram was based off the pentacle and the wierd thing is the pentacle is actually a christian symbol in Medieval Times used for the five words of god which is why they choose a star and then it started being called satanic in the early 17000 i think.....sorry that was long and annoying sweatdrop I thought that it was orginally pagan & that the Christian relgion just stole it & changed it's meaning? Like it stole many other tibits of other relgions.... What was that guy called again? Costantine? burning_eyes
