I really like her personality and flighty-ness in it all, but I'm sort of wanting to see a darker side... like what is she afraid of? Her personality actually sounds a lot like me xd

Hmm.

Heights. Big, scary monsters. The dark.

*goes to ponder*

You say how happy she is, but what about angry? Scared? Sad? What affects her?

What's her deeeep, daaaark secret? >3

Hadrian: Big...scary...monsters? ;~; <3?!

But a deeeeeep, daaaark secret will take some pondering. ninja

Having some fears and predjudies definately helps balance out the crazy hyper joy. I think my only thing is wanting to know more about what would motivate her darker side. Like, you said she was very selfish, but she won't stand her ground in an argument. Which I have no problem at all with, since I've had experience with people like that. But are there ever times when she would not back down? Over principles or anything?

And with not wanting to be around the circus freaks, it is just because she assoicates them with monsters? Or maybe afraid the freak is contagious?

I dunno... XD Just kinda tossing ideas out. =3

She's selfish about material things, like her possessions. In other words, she likes her stuff, but won't argue about ideas.

Mm. Principles...I dunno... *ponderponder*

Her world seems a little more type C sci-fi to me.

I love her personality and how it matches her skill so well. However, she needs something to make her intelligent and 3D. After all, you can't be obnoxiously cheerful and bubble-headed all the time.

I'm not really sure what to categorize her world as. It's sort of...not in any category. I suppose that means type C. I'll change it later.

I've added some more personality tidbits. 3nodding

I agree with what everyone has said so far. I really REALLY like her, she's interesting and different. biggrin But to add to what others have said, everyone has a reason for everything they do. Like she may hate confrontation but she has to have a reason for it...not a reason she even knows because a lot of times it's subconscious. So lets say...she hates being embarrassed when she's wrong so rather than argue she'll just walk away. That would be a reason.

Just some things to think about. biggrin

Critique -

I hate to be very 'oh, yeah, what he/she said', but I strongly agree with what's been said about your character. She's unique and fun, but seems a bit 2d. I'm not saying that I don't like your character, and I'm not trying to put you down, either. I just think that a character with this much potential to be awesome should have a little more depth then just being happy-go-lucky. Now, I do like what you've started to do to flesh her out - with what's in the 'spoiler' text and all, but I personally think that you can take that and expand it a bit more.

Going off of what Tuari stated, I think that she needs to have motives. This works by not only making your character more realistic and fleshed-out (fleshy?), but it also adds an edge to what you can do role-playing wise. For example, say that some one called Susan (yeah, just an example...so.. Susan doesn't exsist.) a failure. And she gets upset and stalks off. That's the end of the story.

But what if her getting upset goes much farther than just getting called something negative? What if no one ever believed in her, so all she does is strive to make other people happy and proud of her. Then, to hear from some one that, despite how hard she's worked, that she's still a faliure is basically crushing her current outlook on life.

And with just something that simple, a small conflict becomes large and psychological on your character's side. Also, this isn't something that I'm telling you to do, but just as food for thought, many people who are very bubbly have a darkside. Whether it's they get offended/upset easily, or very angry, etc., it is there. But some people don't have this, so, you'll just have to think and play around to see what you think really works for your concept.

Hope I helped!

The thing about Wing Ting is, she's never had to really experience the emotions that we have had to. She's grown up in a place where things are alwasy simply given to her. She doesn't understand why somethings can't be given, and why she should have to work hard. She's very, very childish.

At the same time, what she has learned isn't much, and it isn't useful. As we've been exposed to things that require us to work, and require us to learn, I don't think that we can judge her based on our standards.

I don't know, but there's just that mental block when I look at her character and think about dark, forboding secrets. I can't think of any that would fit.

I'll sleep on it again and add to her tomorrow.

Well, it doesn't have to be some sort of big dark thing.
There doesn't even have to be a 'secret' so to speak. And, even in what you were talking about, on how she hasn't experienced much, that could be a side to her. Just being really naive, and somewhat living vicariously through others since there are things that she hasn't lived through, so to speak.

I was really expecting her to mature a lot through the RP in the shop, since it would really be the first time she had to interact with people.

And I rearranged the personality section a bit and made a bit more comprehensible.
