-Dalya Quote: It's Christ-mas. You see Christ in it? Can you read? Have you the mind of a kafir? I mean seriously what the hell is so hard to understand the concept of CHRIST-mas. CHRIST for Christian. But muslims do believe in Christ dont they? Quote: If you don't celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ then why are you celebrating an "event" you recall, on December the 25th? Why can't you do this "event" of gift giving and etc during Ramadan? Think about it. Since I have nothing else to say. Doing these things on that event doesnt mean she is celebrating the birth of Christ , I can celebrate Eid without believing in it if i lived in a muslim country just to not feel left out , its hard to be living in a different country and yet go againts everything , but where is the harm of doing things just for fun ? she isnt really changing her beliefs is she? Quote: I'll say that you are the kind of Muslim that likes to drop their culture, and religion just to fit in with the koofar. And that is what you are doing by celebrating an "event" on December the 25th. Christians arent koofar , please stop accusing believers of God first , second if she did things just for the heck of it , doesnt mean she is completely ignoring her culture and religion , she is simply trying to adapt to the culture she is living in , yet she still on her same religion. Quote: Your excuses for celebrating an "Event" on December the 25th keep getting worse. No excuses should be stated. Stop celebrating a shietty holiday for s**t-faced people. You are not Christian. Again , stop calling Christians such names and calling the holy day and holiday a shitty one please.

Christmas is a Christian celebration designed to celebrate the birth of Christ. In the Christian faith, Christmas is a fulfillment of one of the prophecies in the Bible, about the Savior being born. So technically, if you celebrate Christmas, you are acknowledging that the beginning of the many prophecies in the Bible have been fulfilled. (unless you are an ignorant person who only cares about material things but i will not go there..... stressed )
so......i must admit i don't understand why a Muslim would celebrate Christmas. After all, a Christian doesn't celebrate Ramadan....

Dalya x.X.Innocent Passion.X.x .a.r.a.s.h.i. But what are you celebrating when you put presents under a tree? Christmas is celebrating a prophet's birthday, and we don't do that. Putting presents under a tree isa Christmas thing. No it's not. It's just giving gifts to people you care about! Some people may celebrate "Jesus's birth" on that day, but that doesn't mean everyone does!! And as long as you do not intend to celebrate it in that way, all it becomes is a time for families to come together and put up decorations and get out of school for two weeks! Yes it is. It's on December the 25th. That is the so called celebration of the birth of Christ. You ARE celebrating the birth of Christ just by participating in "decorating your house, and giving out gifts" as you recall. If you want to "give gifts to people whom you care about, decorate your house, and etc," do it on another date. As I said, Ramadan is our sort of Christmas, it's better than Christmas. Christmas is a shietty Holiday for s**t-faced people. Simple. Ramadan is when gifts are given out. And what's more is that you become greatful for what you HAVE every year when you fast. In Ramadan (yes I will repeat myself) it's a tradition to throw up some old furnitute such as a small sofa and buy a new one. It's a time to start something new. When I read at what you say, I disregard you as a Muslim. Is your Mother Christian or something? Because I am getting mixed signals here. When I read at what you say, I simply laugh at how stupid you think. If I made a poll asking the members of MUG if they celebrate Christmas, you would be the only one. It's rediculous. How can you be Muslim and celebrate Christmas? It's Christ-mas. You see Christ in it? Can you read? Have you the mind of a kafir? I mean seriously what the hell is so hard to understand the concept of CHRIST-mas. CHRIST for Christian. We don't celebrate the birthdate of any Prophet and frankly we don't care for their birthdates. We just care for their importance toward Islam. If you don't celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ then why are you celebrating an "event" you recall, on December the 25th? Why can't you do this "event" of gift giving and etc during Ramadan? Think about it. Since I have nothing else to say. I'll say that you are the kind of Muslim that likes to drop their culture, and religion just to fit in with the koofar. Stop celebrating a shietty holiday for s**t-faced people. You are not Christian. Wow i have absouletely don't no what to say on this one. Well i agree. The word in christmas is very obvious. I mean wouldn't it be a little greedy if you celebrated christmas then ramadan? Besides Ramadan is a holiday where u shouldnt alway be greedy and fast. We are muslims , not greedy, and defintely not christians.

Well, all I can say is if Muslims like giving more than receiving, they've got 360 days (excluding the X-mas week) to give Zakath, Sadaqah and simply all other kinds of gifts. Accepting and celebrating non-Islamic cultural events is Haram. That doesn't mean we go flaming them. It simply means we tolerate and not get involved.
Personally, I wish my non-Muslim friends Merry X-mas and give them gifts and they do the same for me on Eid! Just as simple as that!

It doesn't matter what other people say if you are right with god and passionate about your religion its your choice on how you live that's what i think because its your life but christmas and the other holidays aren't part of islam so.....

What happens on Eid!! No one says or gives anything!!!

Guys, listen. I'm Muslim myself. I personally don't cellabrate Christmas, but if someone does, then its between them and Allah. I just wish my non-Muslim freinds a merry Christmas. Same with them wishing me an Eid Musbarak.
Anyway, Islam is supposed to be tollarant. So stop the flaming.
