For my creative writing class I had to pick out a picture and write a narrative about it. Well me being my forgetful self kept forgetting to bring a picture in. Well I brought my new Black Parade cd with me b/c I was listening to it. And then I realized that I could use the art of the album as my picture. So I did. I went off of the concept that Gerard had laid out about the patient and how he had died of cancer. I just wrote how things might have happened and described it so you could get the picture of what was happening. So I'm informing you that this IS my own original writing, but it IS NOT my idea/concept. Okay, now that you understand here you go. Oh and this is not a fan-fic, but I figured since it was writing based on the band in a way that I'd put it in here.

The Black Parade
*bip* *bip* *bip* The sounds of the heart monitor echoed throughout the room. The oxygen mask fit snugly over his pale, boney face. He was weak and his bones were brittle, all of his hair was gone and his eyes were blood shot. The boy looked aged far beyond his years, though he was still quite young. It was his time, he needed to go now. The boy knew this day was coming, so he was not afraid. The cancer was too much to handle and the chemo made him sick. The pain and suffering would soon be over. "Come my boy, join us." The tall, thin skeleton man said stretching out his arm taking the boy by the hand. *beeeeeeeeeeeep* The heart monitor went haywire and the static of it faded into the backdrop of the living Earth. The drumline started booming followed by the trombones and then the tubas. Marching to the beat of their own drum the boots stomped the ground in unison. The sky was thick with dark clouds that hung above them like a premonition of suffocation that was soon to engulf the boy. The atmosphere had a murky red tint to it as if it were stained with blood. Vultures soared through the air circling the crowd. The ground was slightly cold and covered with a light hazy fog. Tattered black flags were proudly waved high above the masked women's heads. The parade moved as one down the path of known certainty. The boy knew where he was going and he sighed with relief. "Are you ready?" The tall skeleton asked. He was the head of the the whole parade; dressed in a sleek black uniform with gold trimming. The boy nodded and followed along side of him. Time no longer mattered where they were going. Soon the land of the living was far behind them. Ahead lay a silent, dark void, they proceeded on toward it. Left, right, left, right, left. Just before the entrance of the final destination the boy tugged on the tail coat the tall skeleton man was wearing. The skeleton crouched down beside the boy, "It's time," he told him. The boy nodded and and gave him a big hug. "Thank you." He whispered to the skeleton and they both smiled slightly. The skeleton got up and turned the boy around gently guiding him through the black hole. In the blink of an eye there was no more pain, no more sickness, the boy felt well again. It was finally over. He began walking, but this time by himself down the long narrow path.
